No , i stopped skating on a rockered Setup . It was a fun experience .But not stable enough for Downhill . I use or the Fly 4x110 mm Frame with 100mm wheels . Or the Overdrive frame with 90mm. instagram.com/p/CgPAskLql6P/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Hi, can I get your opinion? I'm a new skater with no prior experience. I have to start commuting to school in the next three months. The distance is about 15-20 minutes by car, but I have no car. The landscape is all urban - sidewalk, bike lane, regular roads, up and down hills/slopes, parking lots, and stairs. Because it is a campus some of the skating will be very close to people. The condition of the roads is not always good, and so it was recommended to me to start with 110mm wheels in a three wheel setup (four wheel has to be ordered). I found that 4x80 feels more stable to me by a lot and am wondering if the 4x110 would solve my problems with the extra contact point? I am not sure what to expect for ease of use since I have no experience skating but have time for three months of practice. I am very low on funds and have to be careful how I get my skate setup going. Is it worth it to buy these frames for my circumstances?
@Natan Swiss Rollerschool I bought a pair of FR FR1 and Rollerblade RB 110. I was told they are the two widest boots on the market, which I need. The RB are more comfortable to me and much easier to get on and off, but the FR1 seem much higher quality and with a better mounting system. The RB are flat inside and the FR1 have a noticeably raised heel which is bad for foot health. With the FR1 there is a pressure spot on the top of the foot where the lace eyelets are riveted on. If I swap to the flat RB insoles it hurts less. I'm not 100% happy with either of them. I don't like the vents on the RB at all, the build quality, or the very basic mounting plate. If the FR1 were a smidgen wider, flat inside, and didn't have the pressure spot I'd be content with them.
@Ferr Because the most modern studies for foot health say that they are. Tight toe boxes and raised heels are destroying our feet. They are unnatural and ultimately weaken our feet, which cause balance issues and other problems. Look up barefoot running and you will find a lot of videos and articles talking about foot health and what we can do about it.
@@austinfisheroutdoors Well, good to know but talking from my own experience, a little raise in the heel is best, flat foot wear causes a lot of trouble in the heel.
hey, I believe you are not 100% accurate, as this frame has a 180mm mounting distance. Of course the Twister boot has holes for that, but but not threaded. At least this combo will offer the lateral adjustment possibility which I couldn't live without at this ride height. Maybe you have some more insight: why the heck isn't it possible to equip all hardboots with the style of mounting as on the Imperials. The Twister is such a good boot, but the lack of that adjustment possiblity is a real pain and results in soo many weird setups.
