The old school technique uses H file after conicity has been made with K files&Gates/Largo in order to smooth out the ladder. (E.g. 25-MAC 20 mm length 30-19mm, 35-18mm, 40-17 mm, 45-16 mm, after step use hypochlorite + recapitulate with K file 25 for 20 mm )The H file is the same length as MAC and same size. Further conicity created by Peeso bur. And only then you use H file 25-20 mm to smooth out the ladder.

hey I have question......you said that 25 master file so during obturation master cone gp is 25 or ? the last file that we use during prepartion

Yes, with obturation we use the master gp which is the same size of master file we have used in preparation and that reach the apex.

in phase I , do we recapitulate with the smallest 10H file after each step or recapitulate with the previous smaller file ?

You recapitulate with the previous smaller file. When the step-back phase has started, you recapitulate only with the apical master file. I'm pretty sure you already know that, given the fact that the question was made 1 year ago, but i wanted to help 👍🏻

@@SuperAlaa111 it is required to enlarge the root canal up to 25. In some cases, like upper central or canines, which have naturally a wider canal, you can go up to 35. It depends on the patient's age, the secundary dentin formed or genetics(the size of the teeth).

Kinza islam It's repeating the earlier movement of K file which saves the form of the canal and removes the debris that caused by the K file by using H file of the same number, which than it is used as a master file to save the shape of the canal
