Actually the train was blown up by Hitler after he made Phillipe Petain sign the French Peace treaty in it, at least that is what I remember from Ian Kershaw's Hitler that I read a year or so back

Theres people that say that Germany would've won WW2 if they don't this or that. Germany would've loss either way even if they attack the Soviets sooner. Germany had a nightmarish war economy and oil/manpower issues.
