Cody, big fan of your vids, been following you for 5-6 years. Inspirational, really. With that said, after seeing you put BBQ sauce on steak, I don’t feel your journey is something I can ethically support. Best of luck with everything.
Freshly cooked steak right off the grill, 💯 This, however, appeared to be leftovers which can get a little dry after re-heating, so I’m okay with the application of BBQ sauce here. (this comment was definitely needed… 8 days after upload😂)
Cody is living his dream. Working on himself regularly, RU-vid, podcast, husband, Dj. Wow Cody you are so inspiring. Ily hope life keeps throwing blessing your way 🫶🏽
45 minutes IS the perfect amount of time to be at a party. If you try to make it a full hour, in those extra 15 minutes you will get sucked into having a drink and become fully immersed in someone’s argument that they keep saying “no but here’s the way I see it!” And you keep having to nod your head and go “nah I get it” until someone brings out the games lol
Hey Cody! Big fan of yours and Huberman. Just wanted to point out, if anyone else hasn't already, that a cold plunge after a weightlifting session, especially one where the goal is hypertrophy, can negate some of the desired effects. I believe that a cold plunge directly after endurance training is shown to be largely beneficial, even encouraged, especially as it relates to recovery.
Im sorry about your sadness. I bet your hiccup during the performance was just fine. Mistakes always feel soooo much longer in our head than how they are in real life. That's the beauty of live performance eh? That's why we feel so alive!!! Okay, I'll stop now lol
Started my running journey because of Cody! Never been a runner and when I started I could only run for about 30 seconds then needed to walk. Now I can run a mile without walking or stopping! It’s the little things
Kelsey is right about veggie shame. We all deserve to eat freely and gratefully and happily and with love not shame. Also Cody calling it “bad boy” treats while doing sugar before bed and first thing in the day. I feel the “bad” boy programming deeply but love yourself Cody! You’re not bad!. I’m intending to heal my recreational sugar addiction AND food shame like many of us are at the time. Blessings Love ya
Cold plunge post run is totally fine. It reduces the inflammatory response which leads to hypertrophy, which is why it's suggested to not do it after lifting weights if your goal is gaining muscle.
A few videos ago i said i had my first marathon coming up. Well, ran it yesterday and it was an absolute disaster… Was aiming for a 3;40h finish but temperatures hit 32°C / 90°F and i was very close to getting a heatstroke because my bpm was getting way too high in that heat. In the end i finished in 4;47h, which was kinda disappointing, but i’m trying to see the postive in that i finished at all! Was ready to call it quits at mile 10, but decided to power through, because ENERGY IS EVERYTHING! Now looking forward to my next race on sunday and maybe a second marathon in october to do justice to myself.
Yo Cody congrats on all of the progress. You are inspiring me to get into running and eventually try my 1st 5k. Weird request but would be cool if you could outline how you 1st started getting into it and a beginner runners training so more people could be inspired and feel confident to start as well. Thanks again for all the content!
Really recommend the Runna app, I did the Couch to 5k app before transitioning to Runna but wish I had just started with Runna instead. They have plans for pretty much everything Couch to 5k, 5k improvement, 5k to 10k, half marathon, etc. Super easy to follow and can also bake strength training into your programs. 10/10, huge fan
@@chacepaulson1309Thanks for the app recommendations! Will give Runna a try will give it a go soon! I have recently got into strength training 2 months ago currently doing a full body split 3 times a week, looking into getting into running on the in between days, currently been walking 5km a day just to get the discipline down ya know?
Hey Cody! I've always been a pretty active person and worked out in some capacity throughout my life, but I've always hated the idea of running because it was too hard for me. What you said on here before though about challenging your thought of "I could never do that" really resonated with me and I've been running three times a week for the last month now... and I don't hate it! I'm actually enjoying it more than I thought I would and even the small improvements at my beginner stage are really rewarding. Thanks for the inspiration! Choo choo!
Cody, love the videos and seeing the progress. Would be amazing if you could keep sharing your EU (metric) numbers as well, so all of us from across the pond can cry in our inferiority.
I really admire how yours so in tune with your body. I want to get to the point where I can notice what kind of effect eating a specific thing at a specific time has on me.
Started getting into running again because of this channel, been watching you for years but this was the little push I needed for my fitness, and just recently joined a gym for the first time in 3 years and I'm feeling amazing!
Been in the gym consistently since December and I feel so much better day to day. Been following Cody since vine so these vlogs are so relatable and nice to watch alongside trying to be healthier! W
Started running like 8 months ago for some quality of life (im diabetic it helps keep my blood sugar under control) and your vids have inspired me to take on 5 and 10ks, hopefully working up to a marathon in the future
Cody helped me realize I don’t hate running I just had bad form 😂 also him being hyper aware of his voice in the ice bath because it gave Kelsey the ick is cute
Hey Cody you’ve inspired me to sign up to a triathlon club, been feeling very stale with exercise recently and your videos have given me a new found love for it again. Ran 15km today listening to your most recent insanely chill episode which inspired me even more! Energy is everything , ALWAYS !!
I appreciate this cody bc running and talking is one thing but these past few weeks have been a tiny set back too but yet here I am .. inspired to GET BACK TO IT .. ENERGY IS EVERYTHING felt that with the dead airpods too bc that was ALSO me today!!!!
To claify: The cold immersion post exercise will inhibit *muscle growth* so isn't recommended if you're... trying to grow your muscles. Although it's absolutley great if you're aiming to recover from exercise. Basically just not recommended for strength athletes and bodybuilders within the first 4 hours post workout.
Thanks for sharing russ’ story! I followed him immediately such a crazy journey I had to know more. Great episode of the pod and Cody trains! Choo choo!
I have been binging this channel over the last few days! Inspired me to order my first pair of running shoes! Watching your journey is so inspiring!! 🎉 Congratulations on completing an Iron Man too 🎉
