2 years ago my wife, dog and myself were homeless, living in our 1977 Mercury Grand Marquix and how we did it was by God's grace because we found a home and a week later a lady driving impaired driving at a high rate of speed on a rural road totaled our car. Seeing the price of gas and all that is going on in our world makes you feel so blessed with the small things. Prayers for all of your family and all of the viewers, just know that all will get better soon.

My natural gas and electric have almost doubled over last year in central Georgia. Gas is the highest it has ever been at $4.20 a gallon. I’m now drying clothes on a drying rack and cooking more in the air fryer instead of using my stove, and cooking enough for 2-3 days instead of cooking everyday.

The puppy looks so settled already, it lovely. The prices in Scotland are going up daily. Seen the price of fuel go up by 10p a day at some points of the week. I am so grateful for our wood burner that heats the whole house. Thanks to hard work and keeping an eye out on the beach after a hard storm, our heating bill this year and hopefully next year has been 0. The fuel prices in KS were under $3 gallon now they are about $4 or more a gallon. I have seen it jump 40 cents in about 8 hours. It is such a crazy time right now. I wish we could all just learn to love more and hate less and this world would heal itself. The puppy is doing so well and I am so glad Bert is not having any issues. I'm on a freinds and family plan through a friend who has 9 others on this plan. I get unlimited data and direct tv. It's all on my tablet for $30 a month. And I've lived off grid in Trapper Creek for 22 years now. I ordered cheap solar panels from harbor freight also that came with little power boxes that I use to charge and run things like lights and fans. My roommate still uses the old tv antenna with a 12volt tv. The solar panels are starting to put some good power in my cabin batteries. That will continue to happen until I'm not even using my generator to charge up around next month. It lasts up until around Halloween then I start using the generator again. I'm not running the generator but every 5 days now to charge the batteries. The crazy thing is that I started all this using propane lightning, AAA batteried reading lights and,reading alot of books. Oh ya!!! And walking around with camping head lamps on my head all the time. This tiny cabin we built is getting a little more comfy. I'm 60 now and am happy about still living without electricity.
I love seeing Castner! He's so adorable! Filled my tank in Ohio today at $4.09. Our homeschool always slows way down in the winter time. And this January Covid slowed us down even more. At this point, we'll be doing school well into July. We never really take a summer break, we just end up going slow all year long (Sonlight curriculum)

My prebuy propane is $2.70 but if I bought now it would be $4.08. I don’t want to think what next years prebuy will be . We try to have a good fire going and a space heater and we SHUDDER when the heater comes on . I just split a large oak tree and pine tree for future winters .
Regular gasoline was $4.50 in Northern Florida. It was $35 to fill up before this mess, filled up Friday and it was $78.00. Good thing I like staying home, unless I have a Dr. appointment or grocery store. Sadly people are struggling so much.

In Aurora, CO I paid 3.99 a gallon for gas today. We have solar, propane, and a wood stove for heat. Usually we don’t refill our propane tank until late Spring when it’s usually cheaper but I think we might bite the bullet and do it soon!

Here in the Los Angeles area (Torrance, CA) Costco Regular Gasoline yesterday was $4.99 / Gallon if you didn't mind waiting 20-25 minutes in line to get it and that's at 9PM!!! There is a Chevron Station near the house that has Regular Gasoline for $5.69 and Diesel for $6.17. It's rare that any building in the area doesn't have Natural Gas for heating but it's billed in "Therms" which isn't as easy to quantify - you can't really hold a Therm. I get charged about 82 cents a Therm and use about 20-30 Therms a month depending on how cool it is here. By cool I'm talking about 40-50 degrees at night. I shut off the heater during the day due the house stays relatively warm when the sun is out and the constant breeze here is down some. Here most houses are very poorly insulated or have no insulation due it's rarely less than 40-50 (night/day) Winter and 64-90 (night/day) during the summer. I only run the House Heater from January-March and only at night so my heating bills rarely run more than about $60; in the summer months it's about $15 for the Hot Water Heaters only.
Gas prices in southern New Hampshire are pretty comparable to what you are currently paying. We have propane as our main source of heat and we signed a contract last year (May) at a set price of $3.20 per gallon. Only problem is our contract is coming due again in May. The average cost of propane in New Hampshire as of March 8th, according to our state website is $4.17. The average cost as of March 8th for fuel oil is $4.84. Love the new puppy.❤️
Gas and fuel oil for heating are high her on Long Island. I filled up on Monday and the price has gone up almost 10 cents a gallon by Tuesday. I’m thankful that I can walk to work most days weather permitting. I work with special Ed children our last day of this year is June 24…. Which is also my last day and first day of retirement.

Gas prices today in Florence ,SC is 4.08 a gallon for reg. Diesel is 5.15 a gallon , at other stores the high would be 4.17 a gallon for regular gas. It’s horrible. Praying for y’all too.

My friend has 2 mini bernadoodles. Jasper and Rusty are very playful and sweet. Her family had bad allergies so this breed worked out really well. Jasper is 3 and Rusty is 9 months. They have a fenced in yard where both can run and play. I think you are going to have a great time with your puppy!
We live in the Mountains of PA. We get our wood off of our own land. We cut it split it and stack in all summer... And we heat our home 24/7 in the winter with wood... We don't let it go out at night.... Saves a ton on money...
The gas prices here in Barrie, Ontario, Canada today was $1.80/liter for gasoline and $2.11/liter for diesel. It has gone up 26% in about a month…time to plan driving better and more efficient trips to do errands. Love the new puppy!
A friend posted that one year ago his heating oil was $3.89/gal and yesterday it was $6.31/gal. Our unleaded fuel has climbed to $4.599/gal. and firewood is currently selling for $65 a face cord. We are in the extreme part of New York at the top of the state, near the Canadian border.
What I love about this channel and family is they reach out to their community they give from their hearts . Each person on their channel should remember we are all on our walk with God. Our gas prices here in north central WA (Wenatchee) has really gone up in last 2+ months. Filled hubby’s Tundra on Wed this week at 4.29/gal, next day 4.49/gal and today, the 11th is 4.59/gal. All this at Safeway. Love the puppy. Good way to teach kids responsibility.
In Southern CA, I paid $5.45 cash for regular gas yesterday. There are two low income communities close to us. Their stations are CLOSED! Unbelievable. Something must be done. Some people won't be eating or paying their bills...
Live in Northern NH, we joke its mini Alaska because we have not *quite* as intense of a winter but it can get pretty nuts so heating costs can be pretty high. Right now it's $5.54 a gallon for heating oil and it was $4.24 per gallon for regular gas last night when I filled up my tank 😬 grateful for the blessings in my life to be able to fill my tank and come to a safe place, but it feels tight sometimes!

It's definitely more expensive for gas here in Canada than America. The price of gas depends on the region of Ontario 🇨🇦. I'm presently paying $7.57 to $9.09 per gallon (exchanging the Canadian litre to US gallon). Unfortunately out in British Columbia, Canada, the price of gas is even more costly. Around here in Washington cheapest gas i found is currently 4.37 a gallon ( at the safeway in Woodland ) arco in Vancouver was 4.70 a gallon 🤪 , we will get through this as we have before by God's grace ! We are fortunate in Nebraska. I paid $3.44 a gallon for gasoline today. Most prices in the Omaha, NE area are $3.69 to 3.89 a gallon. These are double over what they were three months ago
I meant to add that fuel has jumped another 30c to $1.95/L in our town, to $3.32/L in the outback. Open plan living is more expensive to heat/cool too. We added extra space to our living area but we'll be adding blinds and curtains and are glad we don't have cathedral ceilings even tho they look great! Love the puppy!
Bert your gas is 50 cents more than ours here in Orlando. Going to be a lot more people riding horses . lol. Was just thinking , how about puppy training pads at night for Castner to go on. We are about an hour north of Cincinnati OH. We have a dual fuel heat pump. So we have electric heat and when it goes below a certain temp, our oil heat kicks on. I guess we are lucky we filled up a few months ago. But prices were even higher than normal then, I’d say at least a dollar higher than normal. And we have a wood stove with a blower, which is amazing. I love how encouraging your blogs are ❤️❤️❤️. Thank you
Here in New Zealand our petrol/gasoline costs about NZ $3 per litre, which works out close to US $8 per US gallon. (Much of the price is tax, but we have free universal health care for all, so that's a bonus). However our annual car registration cost is just NZ $112 (approx US $80) per year (that $112 includes injury liability cover, as we have a no fault, no lawyers needed, personal injury compensation scheme which keeps costs down). Electricity here is about NZ 30 cents per kw/h unit. Propane/LPG and Natural Gas is NOT generally available to homes in this region. But it can be bought in refillable tanks, like for RVs and backyard BBQs etc. Some folks choose to buy such bottled gas and use it for home heating even though it is no cheaper than electricity, and often more expensive. We are over 100% self sufficient in renewable electricity from Hydro power water dams. Whereas Gasoline, Diesel, LPG/Propane all has to be imported from overseas. Generally speaking, smaller more fuel efficient cars from Japan are popular here. We get a lot of reasonably priced "JDM" (Japanese Domestic Market) cars and light trucks here, as they are imported from Japan at only 4 to 8 years old, with no rust and very low kmilages on them, in "as new" condition. The Japanese have their steering wheels on the right side of the car, same as the British and same as us.
In far northeast Harris County, we crossed the $4.00 line today. Just over for reg unleaded - $4.01, $4.02. No Metro bus service out here. Don't usually have Uber drivers in the area, either. Not sure what will happen when prices get high enough for folks to not be able to afford to make the commute to Houston or even Baytown for work.

In my part of Houston, Kingwood area, I have seen $3.89 a gallon. I filled up my gas tank yesterday and paid $43.42 for a full tank of regular unleaded gas.
We are on the NC Coast and Friday, gas was $4.19 ...we've been keeping ours on full since this started. The needle moves off full, I stop for a couple gallons.
I don't know what are your plans in the spring once the snow is melted, I would put up a dog run for Castner to use for the bathroom that way you don't have to watch where you walk in the backyard when you want use the trampoline or work in the garden. It's just a suggestion.

Torrance, CA where we have a refinery. Prices today are are over $5.50 for regular and over $6 for diesel. We get to boast the highest gas taxes in the country.
We are in Maryland. Had a fuel oil delivery last week. It was 4.969/gal which did not include the 3 cent/gal senior discount. Basically, in our area it is $5.00/gal. for home heating oil. I filled up with gas earlier in the week and paid 3.79a gallon for 87 with ethanol!! I live in South Dakota and although that is cheap compared to other parts of US. we project the prices to get up to 4.00 a gallon. The temps have been cold so far for March getting below zero at night in parts of the state. It is suppose to warm up to 61 degrees by next week. We haven't had alot of snow this winter so that has helped with the temps. Your puppy is adorable!!

Yesterday we had 63° weather, today in the high 20s, but with the wind it feels like it is 19°!! I have my crocuses blooming , bright yellows and purples, my Hyacinths, have small buds! In Pennsylvania it was 55 degrees today, and we are going to have heavy snow with blizzard conditions tomorrow. Home heating oil is $4.75/gal. 87 octane gas is $4.45/gal and diesel is $5.50/gal
I am a pensioner in England, therefore my income is fixed. Since the war in Ukraine started the heating oil price has increased by over 100% in some parts of the UK. In February 22 I paid $410 for 132 US gallons equivalent (we measure in litres, but I've converted all values). Today I got a quote for 132 US gallons at $845. A lot of old people are simply going to die of the cold as they will not be able to pay these exorbitant rates. Note, too, that pensioners are usually home all day, so need heating for much longer during the day. I am now rationing my heating oil to barest minimum requirement e.g. hot water only. The weather is finally getting warmer, but it has been a cold winter by British standards. I do not have any wood-burning stove. Petrol prices here (what you call gasoline) are around $7.87 per US gallon. Again, I've converted from litres and pounds sterling to US gallons and dollars. At least as a pensioner I don't need my car much except for shopping, but people who commute to work, carers who travel around from patient to patient, they absolutely do need their cars. Some workers get a mileage allowance, but after the latest price hike they are having to dig into their own pockets to fill up the car. People say it's going to get easier towards the summer, but I doubt it will ease until Putin has been arrested and the war stops. Because he won't stop at Ukraine. He'll go on to the Baltic states, even Poland and Moldova, and then there will be a world war, Biden warned yesterday as much.

$3.84 a gallon for gas in Wyoming right now, it's gone up quite a bit just in the last few days. We had -14 this week for several days. Cold and snowy here too. We have a gas furnace, but we don't use it we heat with wood. It costs us less that 500.00 to heat our house for the whole season which is about 9 months. Our house is about 1000 sq. ft.
Bert you should go out & help the kiddos dig out an igloo in your snow piles. You can even make some tunnels. After it has Sat a few days it will be packed enough to start digging. Some of my best childhood memories were doing that in the big snow piles. We took some old rugs to put on the floor & would take snack inside the “fort”. 😉. One of my friends in Europe says their gas is about $15 per gallon (yes, US dollars). And some friends in Australia are having massive increase in gas prices as well. It’s not just the US experiencing the increased gas prices. Where I live it was $3.89 when I filled up yesterday.

Central AL cheapest gas is $4.09. We now drive the smart car a lot more and keep the bigger ones parked if we don’t need to haul much. Home is natural gas and our winter has been pretty tame. TG.
Here where I live in Michigan Home heating fuel is 4.34 a gallon- 4.99 for diesel -Gasoline is 4.25 gallon and propane is 2.74 if you're not locked in. I love that puppy !!
In Tasmania we are currently paying $7.80 per gallon ($ 2.06 per litre x 3.785 litre = 1 gallon). In Feb it was about $ 1.65 and has gone crazy now and still climbing. We try to consolidate our trips into Launceston (59kms away) to 2 to3 trips a month.
Yes California is almost $6 a gallon. As a single mom who works for Amazon Flex It's absolutely killing me. One route for Amazon delivering is sometimes 100 miles round trip. Ouch! Costing an💪🦵and will only get worse. Love the new puppy!! He makes my day better. Oh so cute!
For the puppy I’d also suggest putting a t-shirt or blanket in the crate which has your scent on it. Helps them feel more secure.💗🌻 that little pup will be years of happiness. How are you getting on with it Bert? Have you cuddles him yet? X
Try putting a blanket over the puppy's crate, it will darken the crate and he may relax and sleep more, also put a worn T-shirt of who ever he gravitates to more, in with him. My brother had a dog boarding business for 10 years. Hope this helps
Today 2/13/2022 in Northeast IN gas is $4.29 and Diesel is $4.99. It is sunny (which is nice) 34 degrees Fahrenheit feels like 22 with the windchill. Snow Flurries on and off. I am a travel nurse and I just got back home to Florida from Honolulu, Hawaii a week ago (I guess I missed this video 😅) but when I left there gas at Costco (which is always way cheaper there) was $4.59/gallon and up to $4.93/gallon everywhere else for unleaded. I heard after I got home that it went over $5/gallon. In Florida since I've been home I've seen anywhere from $3.99-$4.69. We don't have heating oil to compare prices, sorry... our AC is running 🤣🤣🤣 it was a high of 90° yesterday in Orlando area.
I’m in the UK. With conversions, you are looking at around $9.00+ a gallon over here for both petrol and diesel. I’m combining all my ‘car’ errands together.
Run ceiling fans in the open plan area in reverse to push all that heat at high level back down to floor level this should also enable you to run your thermostat cooler too. It’s a quick win and really works. Go for the brushless motor type though (EC motors) they are very efficient at running. Works amazing with a wood burning stove and sometimes we even run them in the blowing down direction as this pushes are across the stove too warming up quicker.

He uses hallway curtains to separate the room and keep heat in each room. Around his wood stove he has a fan he blows the hot air with to spread in the house.

I live on the central coast of California, in my area average gas prices are ranging from about $5.00 to $6.30 for regular, diesel is between $6.00 to $6.70. Definitely grateful that we don’t have to heat much of anything here.
We have a refinery in El Paso and the oil field in Midland/Odessa! For the past 3 days, Speedway has Reg Unleaded at $4.19. We just saw a Chevron station at $4.29... Some of the posters here mentioned East Texas was at $4.00. Lucky!!
