Botan jokes, but I couldn't imagine a more hilarious stream than Polka purposefully booting up a high spec game and playing it on trash visual settings with a soundboard to make engine breakdown noises throughout
@@Furanku13 Aki Rosenthal. Debuted on June 1st, 2018. She doesn't have a PC nor a laptop during her debut. She had to stream on phone using Mirrativ app.
>"Look at my new PC Botan! It's one of those fancy white cases and even comes with Windows 98! That's waaay ahead of Windows 10. The guy who sold it even said that I can upgrade to Windows XP! He even gave me a bunch of CDs with free internet! BTW, what does AOL stands for?"
@@kennethscott6533 well yeah but I'm not watching pekora that much but I think it's nothing compare to someone who play minecraft like hermitcraft or may be server that make mass produce farm like prototech & scicraft . . .
She probably bought one of those pre-assembled pieces of garbage that usually come with mismatched components not meant for gaming, which I think is what Botan was referring to when talking about the bloatware. If I was her I'd buy a cheap used 1070 to match the still decent CPU while waiting for the new Nvidia GPUs to hit the shelves or, alternatively, RDNA 2 and Zen 3, before assembling a new PC. But I fear she's gonna get a shitty deal just like Akirose, who had to upgrade too and ended up ordering a config with a 2080ti just weeks before the 3080 got released.
@@LuckeeStrikee Realistically good prebuilt 3070/3080 builds aren't gonna hit the market til sometime Q1 2021. If you were to go for build it yourself then good luck trying to find one. It is easier to find one in Japan but still probably won't be able to get one easily unless you put in that time. 2080ti is not a bad card for Aki or any of them since that card will be high end for another 1-2 years atleast.
@@lucelent8427 Not saying the 2080ti is bad, quite the opposite in fact, but the price-to-performance ratio is much higher on the 3080/3070. Unless you're a streamer who just needs it, at this time it would make zero sense to upgrade to that for anyone else.
I wonder if at that moment she wished she had a chat like Hana Machia's. When she didn't know if she should get a ps4 or wait for a pc her chat basically said "why not both?" and the superchats started rolling in.
@@feres5020 Woahh.. that's surprise me, because its the same spec with my computer... and I use it to 3D modeling and rendering. and yes it's barely enough with much more patient and Pray...
Hey Polka is great, been watching since a couple days ago and she's making great content, the reading the other day was a good change of pace, kinda like the old marine stream
Polka: I bought all the parts myself! Botan: Why is there a wagon wheel? Is that a rubber chicken poking out the.... where you'd normally have a fan....
0:08 knowing now that polka had the phone line plugged into the ethernet (a very common mistake i ran into doing DSL tech support) just makes this whole exchange make sense and more hilarious.
This Video really hit home because when I play older games my PC runs them fine but one day I tried playing valorant and let's just say even on the lowest graphics settings the game was unplayable and my PC actually froze for a bit
@Raul Okay um: -I do use NVENC encoding on OBS with my GTX 1050 Ti. -I already figured out which mods to use to optimise the game even further. Afterwards it's a much better experience.
Lol, remembering playing on my 10 year old PC, it was actually Minecraft that performed the worst. It's all CPU, so old CPUs struggle with it. Meanwhile AAA games tend to be CPU light or optimized for consoles with weak CPUs, so a 10 year old PC with a decent video card would run new big games fine.
2:26 " ill try to buy on my own " well the company can suuuurely subsidize for that and for better internet connection. cannot just outsource all the costs to these young workers.
That wasn’t the point of the comment. She was saying that she is fine looking for PCs and PC parts on her own and that she doesn’t need Botan to give her advice on what to get.
I'm telling you there's a huge market in getting an ignorant gamer's PC budget, building a computer that fits their needs, and making a big chunk of profit while still being under retail price
I think the Minecraft can run on anything trope is a bit outdated at this point >.< there was a time when it was true, but that time is no more. Minecraft has put on quite a few pounds since the days of running on Arduinos.
Man, I also want to upgrade, but miners ruin everything. GPUs are already overpriced because of limited imports, but those people completely ruined it for who knows how long
