I Just watched the replay and I need to raise my hat, bow to both of You. First Phil to You, building this place and second, inspiring us, giving us best input possible. This brought me to have best of both worlds: a DDJ 1000 with Rekordbox and for more then a month a Denon Prime Go ! And thanks to Jason for answering all the questions here. And to all who have been here live and asking the questions, thanks guys for also (unknowingly) covering my questions as well. Thanks ! and cya soon hopefully here again.

Password protect option would be amazing. Even better, would be an additional option that locks all the controls when password protection is activated, and once the password is properly entered, on the screen it shows you anything that has physically been changed, what it was, and what it was changed to. This way you can lock the screen, which also locks the controls, and run to the bathroom, and if some drunk person wanders up to the booth and starts sliding faders and twisting knobs, you will know everything that was changed and can put it all back to what it should be before unlocking and taking control again.

I just got my Prime 2, your videos are great, many thanks. I am moving my library through the new software on the laptop, non ssd and it has been processing for over 5 hours, mind you it's years of tracks on two hard drives. I've always used a laptop and basic controller, so this is a big leap. I have a gig on Saturday and feel confident enough to deliver a great set (You helped me get to being more confident with your excellent videos). I just need to figure out linking my lighting system to the Prime 2

I went back to 1.6 because i'm having issues with 2.0's prepare folder. It deletes the songs you've drag, and drop, along with the cue points you set up, when you turn the unit back on. With 1.6 everything you drag their stays their, when you turn the unit back on until you're ready to play those songs you've prepared in that folder. Thank you Denon for having 1.6 on your site just in case someone change their mind.

I love all the Denon DJ products and the fact it now will control my DJ lighting is definitely a wow feature . Now the playlists stay in order it helps me when I do a live set because I know exactly what's coming up next which I've learnt from the James Hype course and I can practice 4 deck mixing , this is the only unit on the market I know of that can do this currently from USB /internal hard drive .Thank you Jason & Phil ...DJ L.I.AM Liam Osler & Chris Osler

hey i ran into this message and can not add tracks from my collection can you help me ? Some files are missing in the source playlist and could not be packed. To remove these tracks, select all the tracks in red in the source playlist, right click and then select Remove from Collection*

Just updated to 2.0 on my sc6000's and 1.6 on the x1800. When I try to assign the decks on the second player to Chanel 3 and 4 the options are missing?

I think I fixed it but definitely odd. I turned them both off the just powers on player 2 it came up as player 1 so I assigned it to Chanel 3 and 4. When I powers up what is usually player 1 it locked up and would not boot. I turned them both off then power on played one then player two and I was able properly assign the channels on the x1800. Weird but currently working

Is it possible to pair two LC6000 with the Denon DJ X1850 Prime and a laptop and use either Engine DJ or Serato DJ Pro? I realize that this wouldn't necessarily give you an ideal 4 deck control but, I'm curious if it could work. Being able to connect the laptop to these 3 pieces and choose to use either Engine DJ or Serato DJ Pro.

when i transfer my library to usb the mcx8000 wont play anything..after putting thru engine prime.says file not supported and yet files play fine in prime on pc...now have a controller thats not worth having, wont take mp3 straight in to ammend on the fly.....mpx8000 says upto date when checking....what is stopping these songs being played???

Still no NAS support. Cannot use my iTunes library, that is stored there anymore like it was possible with Engine Prime 1.6. Don't know why Serato and Traktor can manage this for years.

Hi, I noticed on the new Numark unit that engine 2.0 has introduced the shift/cue function to return to beginning of the track. I've upgraded to 2.01 on my Prime Go but this function doesn't work on my prime go. Any idea why?

#ASK Thanks Phil & Jason! One question: is it possible now to have a "full integration" between Denon Prime4 with SC6000(M)? In other words can you have the same functionality when connecting the SC6000(M) to the Prime 4 as you would have by connecting the SC6000(M) to X1850 mixer? Is it possible to have all 4 wave-forms displayed on the Prime 4 display (2 decks from Prime 4 and two wave-forms from SC6000(M) deck(s)?) If not, what the differences would be? Would it be possible to post a video showing the full functionality of Prime 4 connected to (two) SC6000(M)? Thank you in advance!

Has the sync issue been sorted where for example engine reads a house track at 240bpm instead of 120bpm. If you load that for example into deck b it will change the speed of the track in deck a. In Traktor it doesn’t do this as it leaves the master track playing.

I updated to engine 2.0 on my desktop. Enginedj will come up like it is getting ready to load, then it crashes. I am running windows 10 64 bit. What can I do to get this running on my system? I was using the previous engine prime with no problem.

Same here. It seems it's a very common problem. I've seen nothing from Denon or other users on how to resolve the problem. Had to go back to the previous version until they get it straightened out.

They made a pretty big point about talking about how it locks to the beatgrid and there is no beatgrid through the aux input, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

They should really add an option to include external sources into Engine Light. Not Beatgrid based, but sound to light at least. Otherwise the external inputs especially on the Prime 4 essentially become useless when working with lights, e.g. when you mix between USB and Turntables.

I have the SC6000M'S and I did the update, unfortunately we no longer have the dual stack waveform so you can mix on one deck. It has a nostalgic look, I hope they rectify this issue soon.

Do you normally play in vinyl mode? If not I would start there and check to see if it’s on. If so, turn it off and see if that fixes the problem.

I’m trying to update to engine DJ 2.0 through my prime 2 system via WiFi but it says on my screen my firmware is already up to date but I’m still on Firmware 1.6.2, am I doing something wrong 😑, I thought it’d be easy just doing it through WiFi on my prime 2 . Id really like to have an "offline locker" to hold and be able to play songs from playlists from streaming services like Tidal, built into my Prime 4 so i dont have pay an additional monthly fees to just to play music offline when I am already paying for the music itself.

We find it plenty loud enough when recording our mixes.

When I recorded a mix with prime 2 the volume of the out file is very low. I don't have this problem with Serato software. It would be nice for them to fix this problem. I use my older controller to record my mixes via Serato.

@@digitaldjtips I suppose that could be true for some; but when compared to the mixes I record when using my Pioneer gear for example the playback volume is noticeably lower. I record a great deal of mixes for the folks in my motorcycle club and I am constantly chastised about my Denon Prime 2 mixes versus my Pioneer DDJ-400 mixes. Just conveying my real-world experience from one DJs perspective :) Additionally, hundreds of users have expressed the same on the Denon forum.......I was simply curious to see if our concerns were addressed by Denon (since you have their ear). Keep up the good work sharing your thoughts/wisdom.

Maybe it's something I don't know regarding the volume on prime2. I have my master volume set half way (12 o'clock) when I record my mix. What is the best setting for recording mixes with denon prime 2?

Definitely an issue on the Prime 4. Record at max trim without going into the red and still have to increase the volume of mixes in Audacity before uploading.

27:20 Gemini MDJ supports NTFS read-only, and Engine Prime originally had a small amount of read-only support for small drives with NTFS and stated it was read-only for the format in its original manuals. InMusic apparently reversed this policy even though their streaming services clearly prove their system can work fine in read-only mode without a drive connected. I'm curious why this is the case considering NTFS read-only is doable and does not require licensing fees. For that matter, a read-only mode for any drive should also be allowed to reduce the probability of drive file table or Engine database corruption.

I'm still waiting for Virtual DJ database import AND a real library clean up.. If there are any missing (red) files.. It will clean those out if you choose... I tweak my library via the file system and have my djing software mirror it.. This causes issues in engine with files turning red as they are missing becsuse I deleted or moved them

Such a shame that it's broken. Some really big issues with the waves for each channel running all over the place. Can be fully beat locked and have the waves all over - back to 1.6.2 for me

While the new features are welcome the changes on the display are a backward step. The browse and search used to be on the left are now at the top and for me work randomly and so necessitates using the view button instead going from horizontal waveform to playlist. The dinky little buttons on the left that are too small compared to the huge font size for the list of playlists. While the settings page wasn't ideal previously now we have rows of tiny little text. In short a shambles and no uniformity at all. Requests to increase the font size for the horizontal waveform BPM to match the vertical waveform BPM completely ignored.

Streaming will NOT be the future until there is WiFi everywhere and a way to be able to accept the venue’s terms and conditions of WiFi use. This is one of the biggest problems I have with the prime 4. Plz denon fix this.

I will never buy denon again it’s cheap for a reason I had nothing but trouble with my mcx 8000 took them over a year for a Up date that never worked properly and then it falls apart after two years don’t waste your money like a did

"I’ve wasted £1000 on your cheap shit" - no you haven't, which part are you not understanding that you're not talking to Denon? Denon are one of the biggest DJ brands on the planet, they certainly aren't frauds. Many people had no issues whatsoever with the MCX8000, sorry to hear that you did.
