Your shifter plate may not be aligned properly. Try pushing down when shifting to 5th gear if it works then your shifter plate definitely needs to be aligned. This is a common issue when changing your shifter. Also you should realign anyways just Incase if not you could slowly grind your gears out in the future. And we all know we don’t want anymore transmission issues!!!! Like this so Kalvin can see
Not to sound too repetitive but it's definitely just turning the engine. Exact thing happened to me with the exact gear and I almost crapped myself. Lol P.s. don't forget to put oil before you run the transmission because that's usually one of the last things people do. LOL
My car is the same, i have a R32 RB25det with a r33 big box and mine goes all gears apart from from 5th but I don’t have my clutch bled up , it is a freshly rebuilt gear box with brand new gears , synchro and selectors , from one of the pro D1NZ drivers here in New Zealand , so I don’t think it’s a problem , well I hope not keep us updated ✊🏽
Definitely try turning it a little, maybe the gears just aligned in a wrong way, maybe the transmission has no oil or something, no 5th gear would be very weird and I have no idea how anyone would break it
Dude!!! Did you notch enough out of the bellhousing to accommodate for movement of the clutch slave? Because the line and bleed post will move with it and will bind and you will not get full engagement / disengagement and you could rip the line off the crimp.
Try hand turning over the motor a couple times with the trans connected. That will get the input shaft moving, might just be slightly misaligned stopping it from going in that particular gear.
Spin it over some. Common problem thats not a problem! The gears are probably misaligned a little bit and hopefully nothing to worry about. Ive had this happen many times personally. Never with CD09 but they all work the same pretty much
Shifting forks that’s the shifter pushes on had this issue with my Z gotta tear the front and back case apart to fix it but once you do it’s a super simple fix. I’ve done it on almost all z31 Z32 and Z33 transmissions.
Try aligning your shifter plate Calvin it's a common thing in CD09's when changing the shifter plate people tend to not properly align them and that results to being locked out of a gear
When I put my 5 speed trans together for my mustang it wouldn’t go into 5th before the motor was in the car and running, it works fine now that it’s installed, transmission needs to be moving to release tension from the gearset
Uumm i would say put it all together and get some clutch work going to see if that lets u go in gear when i got my cd trans the main shaft wouldn't turn those trans sit for awhile u have to heat them up
Micheal Kirwan if he’s gonna do that he might as well just rent shop space like he did when he first rebuilt the s13(when he went big turbo not the og 25 turbo build)
@@zerohourdrift i know i saw them all. Its the present i mean hes midway through the swap and stuck for space. Hes not going to rent somewhere for a while id say
