Great video kinda changed my life a lil bit ngl... What about swapping from one car to another of the same make and model? I basically have a subaru outback and a liberty of the same generation both with MTs one with a sluggish ej253 that's well past it's prime the other with a recently rebuilt ej255. Would the engine out the liberty GT mostly plug and play with the previously N/A outback? Can you just swap the ecu, transmission etc over if its basically the same car just different spec?

Mechanically, Subarus are basically legos. Some things may need to be changed, like maybe the engine cradle subframe to clear the up pipe, but it's all bolt on. Things get difficult when you get to the electronics as, at least with Subarus, things are not plug and play. The engine harness, ECU harness, and dash harness are all meshed together on most Subarus, so you either have to adapt the original N/A harness to the turbo ECU and turbo engine, or replace the entire harness which involves removing the dash. I have a video on wiring an engine by hand on this channel that may be of interest to you.

I’m tryna get a list of things I need to do for a 4.8L or a 5.3L vortec swap in a bmw 318ti. figured I need a holly bell house, a 370z trans, a 88 ford rear end. Either a decent computer or a Chinese one. My buddy has the shell sitting with coil overs track ready as of now. it’d be the cheaper route but harder to get done rather than building up the stock i4 that’s in it, any tips? figured that model vortec is reliable and cheaper than the Ls platforms, can sound pretty nice as well

I'm not all too familiar with Chevy, or most engines to be honest. I usually tend to stick to engines with port fuel injection, and that are well supported by my standalone ECU. I'm not sure if the older vortec engines fit that description or not

You can boostedboiz did it in a sti as well that looked better and was lower so didn't stick out of the hood too far lol. K24a2 is the engine you should swap imo. Oh you can get a forward intake manifold or one that points straight down. Best of luck!

Do you know anyone that can make a Honda K or J Series adapter plate for an EJ 5-Speed automatic cvt transmissions??

The same adapter plates could be used as the bellhousings are the same, however, you'd need a custom flex plate made. Plus a custom trans controller more than likely. Sorry, I don't have much experience with auto transmissions.
