Hi Merci,Thank you for your comment. The vstrom 1000 is impressive in the first 4th gears with the torque delivery . On the other side, the engine allows a lot of comfort for use in the city. I think you appreciate your sv 650 for the same reasons too. Add to that a good sound and it makes a nice bike!!
Good informative video. Torque is an awesome thing ain't it? I grew up on Kawasaki Z1 900's and Suzuki GS 1000's/1100's and semi pro drag raced both. I've also owned a couple of older HD's. I bought a new DL 1000 V-Strom in 2003 and was impressed and surprised by the torque and response of this great v twin. Mine is covered in bags, a tall windscreen, a cushy heated seat and grips and is my sport tourer. 500 mile days are a breeze!

According to my young experience I can say that it is one of the best choices to get for improving its technique. The bike is neutral, easy to handle !!
@@andrewshore262 The vstrom has a very pleasant engine since it offers engine torque from low revs in 2nd and 3rd gear. Accelerations are immediate. So very well suited for everyday city driving and overtaking is not a problem. In 4, 5, 6th gear, the engine torque is lower but the engine keeps this ease for any type of driving. The engine also shows that it is very predictable.
@@andrewshore262 I have also say that the vstrom 1000 (2015) was my 2nd bike and the 1st 1000cc I had. At that moment I was impressed by its speed and its torque. Today i got used to it!
Good job, but it's a bit longer rpm drop at take-off, where likely the loss occurred. Might want to give it 4300-4500 first and then manage start with the clutch. Thus revs won't go lower of its comfort zone
Punta quil pariu!!! Pare aferição de velocidade real, só pelo GPS. Painel, seja qual for, sempre a velocidade marca a mais. É por isso que antigamente eu acreditava que um fusquinha alcançava a velocidade de 145.km. Quando chega a uma velocidade máxima, um painel marca um acréscimo de 10/15 por cento a mais.
