My 6th grade band is doing this We were practicing and someone asked if we could go fasterThe teacher said “you guys are wanting to go faster while the flutes are over here like ‘MHA,VHIDCJG,KDCUYGCFMSCYGS BYGS’”
I played this song a few years ago in seventh grade and it's one of my favorite pieces I have ever played because the percussion parts are cool (go percussion gang)
We just got this music today and I think just getting the notes down is hard at the beginning but my band didn't sound too bad considering we got it today (I play flute)
Jia Almquist I feel you, I play percussion and we got new music the day we got are parts. I was playing bass drum but we only practices the snare drum part...
I played this a few years ago on trombone. I have never been the same since. There is no feeling that compares to sitting near the back of the room with your fellow trombones and FEELING the drums beat behind you as you play this masterpiece. It is a feeling that I have never come close to since. This recording does not even come close to experiencing this in person. If you have the chance to play Engines of Resistance, play it.
@@averagekid6475 k but I didn’t ask if you cared or not, so mind your business and stay out of my notifications. I didn’t *ask* you to make your entrance into my replies, yet I still got that. I don’t care about your reply, but I still got it. Sometimes we get what we don’t like or care about, but I’m going to ask you to stay out of my notifications. Thanks 🙂
Me and my friend like to act as if our saxophones are a rocket launcher, then take off the mouthpiece and say it is a shotgun, then put the mouthpiece on but remove it from the saxophone and say it is a gun, then say it is a knife, and also a horn. So basically we would not need security if all these functions worked but we still would because I would probably use the rocket launcher mode “Accidentally”
I was given an oboe music. It’s drastically different. Starting measure 14 (all of the eighth notes), it’s just a different order of staccato high F’s and Eb’s.
I played this in 8th grade for a combined concert with a mother middle school and the high school I’m going to and it was an amazing night it was really loud Edit: I play French Horn
we sight read this piece for a day and i really enjoyed it. i play flute and it was actually pretty easy. i played a larry clark piece last year- crystal moon- and you can definitely hear the similarities. overall it’s a fun piece, however it can be a little repetitive.
