Deluded. Southgate has no experience as a club manager and should never have been appointed England manager. He was in the easy half of the draw in this tournament and the last 3 tournaments until they lost to the big three in Italy and France and Spain. Roy Hodgson had more experience and humiliated England twice. Its not about the managers. Italy proved that when they won the World Cup in 1982 with a novice called Enzo Bearzot. Never managed a club in the top 2 divisions yet won the World Cup due to luck. Same with Southgate. 3 seasons with Middlesbrough and no experience and gets easy draws in tournaments and still can't win. Great teams like Brazil in 1982 with Zico and Socrates can't win. These tournaments are not easy to win but you need luck as well as talent in every single game or you win nothing. No one is to blame. Its just unfortunate.
