You need a balance, the formation you sproud is not balance and in England's team not everyone are very good in touch and close control specially your defenders are not technically good. And it's only some in your attackers who have good touch and close control. To play your formation England need all technically gifted players like Man City's foreign players.

Just my personal opinion, but I feel the system can be better overall with someone else in there who keeps the ball moving quicker, rather than relying on one player to open teams up with passing from deep. I'll be happy to be proven wrong if TAA does come in and make the difference!

@@albertochabello3448 we have to play to to our strengths, this isn't the Golden generation where we were trying to fit 3 players into the 10 role who only played there. These players all switch positions and roles through the season and sometimes within a game. We have Walker 2/4, Stones 4/6, Trent 2/8, Rice 6/8, Bellingham 8/10, Palmer 7/10/9 and Foden 10/11. Trippier can play any wide position. Even Kane drops into a 10 space (too often for my liking). They should be able to rotate and this way we not only play best players, we also plan for fluid roles.

Based on the fact Trent does actually play midfield for Liverpool it’s a hybrid role yes but he’s excellent at it and Konate actually covered right back and Mainoo isn’t experienced, Trent is world class at what he does, set pieces, passing and pressing

U need someone who can defend but is also good on the ball: Mainoo. However might just struggle from set pieces or lack that passing range.
