Foden wasn’t great in the Euros but imagine thinking benching him is the best option. England struggled as a team collectively. Being selective about what player to blame isn’t the primary issue, it’s the team balance and the managers style of play not complementing the team he chooses.

We have mid Players performing for our club in the first team but so do Spain Yamal isn’t a top club player and same with Williams. If we look back to club level non of these players get in the best team in the world for club sides.

Gutted! Well done to Spain for a fantastic performance and team. We (England team) represented themselves well. The brave decisions by Southgate to make the subs early was great. Tony should have come on earlier and Foden should have stayed on the pitch but saying that I'm very proud of the performance against such a tough dominating Spanish team. Proud!!

Last minute over head kicks, extra time, penalties, come backs from behind and awful penalty decisions going their way all whilst playing shit teams and they still were beaten. 20 minutes of being decent at best in the opening game and good for the first half of the Holland game was all they showed. The reason why Mainoo is so good in the United team, is because he is allowed to be the midfield controller. Southgate playing him together with Bellingham and Foden is criminal because all of them want to drift in midfield to control play. Kane also makes it worse by drifting into midfield as well. I have been saying all tournament that Walker is washed already and doesn't offer anything going forward, every cross is wild and no control and his positioning by the 65th minute goes to shit cause he is tired already. Should have started Trent for this game. Could have brought Trent in as a sud as well. When Spain are under pressure and win the ball, they have technical player who can hold onto it and accurately pass the ball to their teammates who are similarly adept at receiving the ball in tight situations and moving it on. Very often, England in the same situation simply cleared the ball back into Spain's possession or passed the ball without the same accuracy, not giving the receiver of the pass any advantage and isolated.
