It was never coming home and this time I knew it and didn’t get into the hype like the last final. We played poorly for most parts of the tournament and let’s be honest we were fake finalist as we had the easy run in to the final if we came up against France or Germany we would have been knocked out way earlier

Gutted. I’m American but have English roots through my maternal grandmother. I always root for England. I really thought when Palmer equalized that it might be different this time. Hard to even watch the post match analysis. I do agree Spain was just too good.

Style of play has always been England's problem for as long as I can remember. They have the biggest names on paper but they never played like Spain or Germany. Their style has always looked outdated to me. They play like a dinosaur.
Spain was better mentally. They showed they were more hungry for it. Spain hit the ground running starting from their first match. Beating the likes of Germany the host and France. They had a more difficult road to the final when compared to that on England. This helped to builded them mentally as they progress.

Am i the only one who thinks Pickford's distribution and lack of composure doesn't help England retain the ball. Compared to Simon and the other to GK's at the tournament he is severely lacking. It even looked like his CB's didn't want to give him the ball in a lot of situations either

Spain deserved to win. Easily the best team in the tournament winning every single game. Typical Southgate. Always reactive and so negative, just not good enough and has to go. Easy run to the final and the first good team they play, fall short every single time.
