@@shonwamcfeckerty7363couldn't imagine how bad you feel about living next door to a superior footballing nation you let me know when sctoland win something ...literally anything your whole national team would barely survive in the championship 😂😂
@@keepitmoving6617 but i never got teabagged in school?🙄The fact you’re talking like that clarifies to me that you can’t fight and you was a f@g back then yourself, instead of crying accept you’re a f@g🙏🏿
That’s because you don’t have a clue what he’s talking about and you obviously don’t want to learn about the finer details of the game. Good luck with that. Southgate out etc etc
Why? Almost every time England have come up against tough opposition they’ve lost. England had a great squad for the World cups and the Euros, whilst usual contenders floundered, England had a real chance but they’d don’t succeed. And you can only attribute that to the tactics put in place by Southgate.
Southgate gets way too much hatred, i don't understand it. before him we were absolutely rubbish, struggled qualiyfing and gettng out the group stages.
But.... tactically Southgate is soooo passive, methodical and calculated which is everything we don't want to see on the pitch.... But.... If we were free flowing, fluid and 200mph attack we'd be saying he's careless.... dissatisfied regardless
Waiter - "Hi sir, how was your order?" Gareth - "Well, I didn't get my food at all but I have to say that the work you all do here is phenomenal. I know everyone wants food, because that's the sexy bit, but the shift you put in is fantastic and absolutely vital to this fine establishment."
Anybody calling for GS to go hasn't been an England fan long enough to make that call. He is media savvy, modest and gives the position the respect it deserves. His track record speaks for itself. Enjoy him while you can. Den 0 v 3 England.
I started doubting him after the penalty taker decision during the World Cup it’s seems it hasn’t learnt anything from it unfortunately and he has serious issues with making substitutions at the correct time seems to alway leave it 70+ even if a player is clearly not have a good game for example foden clearly didn’t have his head in the game after about 15minutes of whatching.
@@philiplewis7572 ? I'm just repeating what the manager said if there aren't people making forward runs for Trent to do his insane passes as southgate said himself why not play someone that is good at making those runs?
I completely agree with GS analysis. Energy levels must increase! I think he should go with the same players but, do not hesitate to get 3 or 4 of Palmer, Eze, Gordon, Gallagher, Mainoo or Bowen on if energy drops. As for Foden, I think everyone wants him to play well, he just needs to relax, smile and trust Rice, Trippier and Bellingham will get him the ball in some 1v1/ 2v2/ 3v3 scenarios out wide.
He’s clearly a nice guy, and is possibly feeling the pressure of the job - which is a natural human emotion, especially given the mass of the job. You get the impression that he may struggle a bit with Anxiety, and when the whole of the country is giving him nothing but hate, I’m sure that must be really tough for him. He gets a lot of stick but he wants the same as we all do, to win. He tries his best. Had a couple of penalties gone the other way against Italy at the last Euros and we had won, he would have gone down as a legend. I think as fans, we really need to take the pressure of the managers and players, if we want to get the best from them. But this will clearly never happen, which is a shame. There is a reason why such a great team like England haven’t won anything since 1966, and I believe this is down to the immense pressure put on them by the fans. It’s easy for people to comment shit on a keyboard, but I’m pretty sure they would have a much different opinion if they were putting the shirts on and playing themselves. Maybe it’s time for Southgate to step down after this tournament, if the pressure is too much for him. It may also be time to get some new blood in the management role, just to shake things up a bit. But If Southgate does go, I would be in the belief that he has done a fantastic job for England. Given that we got to the Semi’s last World Cup and the Final of the last Euros. He also invested heavily in the youth and chose to do a re-build at the correct time, which is the reason why we’ve got such a brilliant squad now. Big up Southgate, best of luck for the tournament.
I think we’re going far in this tournament, but if we don’t win and Gareth is out- I’ll still be grateful for him putting England back where we should be in world football
everyone calling him boring, TikTok has absolutely ruined attention spans. He speaks eloquently and intelligently about the game and deserves a lot more respect than some of our arrogant fans will ever give him.
I think the focus and criticism of foden in the press and social media has been massively over the top. However (and this isnt necessarily a criticism) his reading of foden's perofrmance being hard working sums him up. I expect everyone in the team to work hard but to say foden was supporting the rest of the team whist they were breaking forward shows hoe tactically challenged we can be.
Playing from the back to pull the opposition out and counter is so predictable every year it's the same things. We need a change of manager. Just attack attack. We have the players to win.
He takes a lot of criticism and certainly earns some of it. With that said he is a decent and genuine bloke and would be a worthy manager to bring home a cup for the first time since 66!
I’m not even saying it cos it’s a running joke but more due to the weird selection of players we have.. Saka at lb would be so sick for us for a couple games till shaw gets fit
Foden had a bad game and everyone’s blaming him? He’s not playing in his position with a manager who knows how to utilise any of his most talented players. And we blame the teenager who was player of the season. Go watch ping pong.
"Without Foden's work off the ball we dont win the game"...Jesus Christ, I think that's the first time ANYONE has lauded Phil Foden for his defensive qualities.
Nope. Charisma is important in football. When I saw Chielini lift the Spain captain in the air and throw him around before the pens, I knew England would lose to Italy. He had more character and back bone than our whole squad. Ferguson, Klopp etc can get players fired up. GS doesn’t inspire anything imo, and nothing he has done in his career at any level says different
@@esseffseeyes that's true but I'm talking about Southgate as he is currently our manger and he hasn't won anything because he hasn't got it In him the biggest opportunity he had was at wembley In the final against an old Italian side his in game management and tactics where horrendous let alone his penalty choice decisions.
The negativity in this comment section is unreal. Imagine if we did end up winning the whole thing and youve been as negative as you have after and opening game win. Surely it takes the shine off it for some people?
Gareth Southgate for Prime Minister! The master of answering a question with a positive spin and without actually answering the question. Boris 2.0 although Boris probably knows more about football.
Gareth would never throw any players not up to scratch under a bus.He would check the bus was fully insured, tax’d,MOT’d with a full service history and absolutely zero oil leaks before delicately placing a comfortable, and cushioned carpet with ample space for the players to lay on first!.And ideally the bus would be safely parked not contravening any parking regulations 👍👍👍
what people tend to forget is this man has led us further than ANY other manager has since 1966, have some bloody respect for him eh,he might not make the best/right decisions but this man has done things many others couldn't, if we win this euro how many of you naysayers will be kissing his ass? literally just stfu and enjoy our team playing their game and stop judging
He interviews well as always… let’s hope he makes the right calls in games and can get it right. His right tho nobody cares whether it’s Phil Foden that scores… the win is all that matters
This is why we wont win the tournament. Praising what Phil Foden did defensively when he's Premier League Player of the Season. (Paraphrasing) "If Phil didn't do what he done defensively, I believe we wouldn't have won the game." Bruh, if you could get him to do what he does at City, we wouldn't have been relying on Phil Foden's defensive prowess 😂 And how can you sit there with a straight face and talk about competition for places, when we all know as fans that the only way Kane and Bellingham get dropped is if the last group game means absolutely nothing? Not so much Bellingham who needs a kick up the arse for England, but Kane was diabolical against Serbia. However, here's another problem with Southgate, if Kane were to be dropped for Watkins or Toney and we were to lose or draw the game 1-0/1-1, the striker would be scapegoated over Southgate's dry tactics.
I know a player who loves playing on the left, rarely loses the ball, attracts opposition players to him, then usually creates something and tracks back to defend....now what was his name? Oh yeah - Jack Grealish!!!
@@Willster389 Jack Grealish? Wait a minute... is that the guy who couldn't get a a start in a meaningful England game when he was at Villa, but almost won man of the match in every England game he did start, and then when he went to Man City, he was dead certain to start because he now has European experience? Meanwhile, Kalvin Phillips was in the Championship with no Prem experience getting games for England... make it make sense. Pep Guardiola ripped so much flair/expression out of Grealish's game and turned him into a pissy system player. I get he won a treble but I think he would be a better footballer with a bigger reputation had he stayed at Villa. Half or less than half of what he was at Villa, but still should've been taken for some of the qualities he possesses when he's up for it.
"Runners make passers" Arguably the most stupid thing said so far this millenium. Was Steve Ovett better than Hoddle? Why did we bother with Gazza when we had Linford Christie?
how did you extrapolate that from this quote? England are 1 win from 1 game and we've got bellends like you putting a negative spin on just about everything. Please dont bother celebrating if we do actually end up winning this tournament, you're not a supporter.
Difference between England now and back then is we can compete now… back in the day we never had a chance look at the teams every nation had England have never gone into a tournament with one of the best teams in this euros it’s different 😂
God this man talks so much dribble. Specific players are pretty much none existent and he goes on about how exceptional they were off the ball. He never ever reacts or changes things up to the game, very average manager at best
Funny how we couldn't keep the ball as soon as we took off our only creative player... As soon as Trent went off there was no longer a threat to Serbia and they dominated.
He admits it was a difficult game for the midfield after playing a right back as an 8 and an 8 as a 10. These tactical decisions are so bad no amount of interviews will change the level of performance. Southgate employs Slow buildup and gives no instructions to players for phases in the final third
