Great EARLY ball to Watkins and wow. So often on the break it takes forever to get the ball to the last third, this was decisive. Credit to Watkins, but also to Palmer, the player who delivered THAT PASS..
i’m not an England fan, but i just have to give them the credit they deserve, they played some amazing stuff today and was the better team over 90 + minutes, NEVER a pen but in general they deserved to win, Watkins and Palmer should be starters, Mainoo and Shaw show why they are 2 of England’s most important players as well
Gotta give credit to Southgate in this game. He saw that the previous formation got the best out of our players and continued with it. Plus the subs that he made, made total sense and got us the result. Is he a tactical genius? No. Does this mean he shouldn't be criticized for past performances or future results? No. But give credit where credit is due. Go England!

I’m devastated for Netherlands. They’re my favorite team and I want them to win. They must improve. They got to complete their passes. They cannot just lose possession after possession and give more opportunities to England. Good game to England. They played better and converted their chances.

Why were so many saying "robbed" in the chat? The Dutch did hardly anything against us. Had a bit of the ball in the second half once we started to need subs but so what? I'm no Southgate fan but we were better than the Netherlands over the 90 minutes easily

Seen in the comments, the ref, robbed. Battered the Dutch first half, more possession, more shots more passes, hit the post, had one off the line, one disallowed, last minute winner. not sure what the Dutch did to deserve a win. We did what was needed second half.
The best and thus also the only really good game of the English team. thus deserved in the final. If they play like this against Spain, they could even win. I was quite surprised that I didn't fall asleep in front of the TV like in the last 3 English games.

It was not a penalty! If that match against Germany was not a penalty than this was for sure not one. This Referee only favored brits because they British press cried like children.

I can't see how people can say we scammed our way through this one. I know the penalty is a huge talking point. To me that would be a foul anywhere else so logically it should be a penalty when the challenge was done inside the box. We also battered them the first half, Foden nearly scored a mirror goal of Yamal's. Yes they snuffed us out second half, but didn't really create enough, and Watkins' goal was just a moment of class in a smash and grab manner. We absolutely played well enough to warrant this victory.
Just heard the cope radio commentors from spain. If there was a different manager other than southgate, we would not even go to play the final. In other words, England has the best player, and that spain is blessed with soutthgate as the England manager. Says it all
