Ollie's Dad (and those like him) is the reason why there is a market for these extreme cheeses in the first place. People like him are the reason why someone saw things like that brain mold cheese, actually tried it, and thought "You know what, that's quite nice. I should try aging it a bit more though."

Unfortunately, cheese and durians are both different aromas. They are a cultivated experience. You can’t tell someone who’s excited by stinky tofu to feel the same when they smelt stinky cheese... just like a connoisseur of durian won’t feel the same for smelly cheese and vice versa.

Charlotte Tan Thanks for the recommendation. I love durian but I can’t take smelly cheese or stinky tofu or even natto... will try the stinky beans with Sambal if I come to Malaysia. Is this readily available in Johor? I never seem to come across them.
