Anna, an answer for your question about why do vehicles that can go past the speed limit are being sold in the UK; Well, first of all many vehicles are designed for the international market which means that they should be suitable for many different countries which have various speed limits, for example for roads in Germany that have no speed limit whatsoever. Plus there are some emergency situations where you would like your car to go waaay past the speed limit for example if there is a wild fire or terrorist attack and so in those cases you would like to speed away as fast as your car would allow you to go.

Anna? ... Je t'aime. What a wonderful episode again. You are just magnificent my lovely! For your question at 4:14, I was about to answer you but you gave the answer yourself. Apart from the need for a small acceleration reserve, which is useful in certain situations, it is difficult to see the coherence of all this indeed. The State could be coherent with themselves, but can you then imagine the loss of revenue? ... As you rightly said. Besides, the same thing applies here to certain aberrant limits in certain sectors which, on the face of it, don't justify them but are real traps for drivers, and where speed cameras are intentionally set up... to make them a lot of money! Merci infiniment for the lesson, vocabulary and expressions around this theme, I learned a lot again! By the way I think the million subscribers is a little too long to arrive, you deserve it so much!! Are people blind? Deaf? Are they unable to assess real quality? Hi Anna, how about you dedicate one video to when you use the word "sir' in English. Many non-native speakers are often confused about when it's appriopriate to use this word when referring to a stranger

Hi Anna 😊 🤗 hope you don't cave in later , usually all parents do 😅 Parents usually put their foot down, they are so strict in making rules , no TV after 8 pm maybe 🤔, no sweets after 4 pm , no staying late after bed time, but sometimes they just cave in and allow all those things to happen 😅😅

Your thoughts about buying a car based on the car's speed make sense. This question hasn't been asked before. Truly why do people choose expensive cars and the speed limit isn't allowed it is a waste of time.

breaking the rules is easier than keep the rules. In fact I don't know anyone who has not got a fine for breakig the speed limit. ( and so did I). You say..when I can see a big motorway and the lines are free, scarcely cars that could avoid you step the accelerator on, I did it. 110 kilometres per hour in a huge motorway could be dangerous for people that don't break the rules because their are driving absolutely slowly. that's life.

If you bring your car to a racing track, you can utilise all the horsepower your car has to offer while not breaking the law. Moreover, you can always go to Germany to drive on their autobahn where there is no speed limit. I doubt that things you used as an analogy to this subject are considered legal in any country. 😊

As for the 'whopping' 78.3 million pounds, for your average household sure it's a 'whopping' sum, but for a city like London, let alone a country like the UK it is nothing more than peanuts.

I believe those smiley/sad faces that appear on flashing speed limit signs could work best on women, as they tend to be more emotional than men, therefore more susceptible to such cheap manipulation. Well, 50% success, not half bad.

Speed bumps should be abolished altogether because they slow down emergency vehicles like ambulances and police cars. By the way, 'bollards is pronounced "ˈbɒl.ɑːd". And it's now accepted in British English to use "learned" in the context that you've used it in your video but I prefer to stick to the usual British English use of the word. The American past participle of the verb 'to learn' is 'learned'. The British past participle is usually 'learnt'.
