As a Type 5, I can confirm what Beth heard about 5s not getting bored. I almost never get bored because there's always another book to read, TV show or podcast to view, sermon to write, thought to process, etc. My struggle is deciding which one of these to do next.
This is so helpful in having more compassion & understanding for my husband being a 5 and taking thing way less personally. It is helping me navigate our interactions in a more positive way.
I had to laugh at the notes collection part because, how many of us 5's have spent hours watching YT videos about all the different note taking/keeping systems out there. I mean I have hand written, notes app on my phone, Evernote, Google, OneNote, Obsidian, & Notion. LOL
As a child I was definitely observant but my core longing for my needs to not be a problem really caused my relationships to be limited to my neighborhood. Even though I did skip the second grade in reading, I did not have relationship in school until 7th grade. Before that in recreation and school I was alone.
I use that term “bandwidth” all the time. I always ask myself IF I have the bandwidth to do something or be with certain people and/or with certain people for a specific amount of time.
