Before you activate the bridge to the town , there is path left of the bridge , which lead down to the beach. Just jump down! Once you go down on the beach , continue to explore up to the road and you will find house with guards and the chest nearby , the sword is there , if i can recall well. Then the path will lead you down near the bridge back to the place where you came!
These orange consumables called "armonia sap". You will find many of them during exploration. They will fill you healthbar , based on damage you deal.(exscuse my English):)
