Entelodonts - sometimes facetiously termed hell pigs or terminator pigs are an extinct family of pig-like omnivores endemic to forests and plains of North America, Europe, and Asia from the middle Eocene to early Miocene epochs (37.2-16.3 million years ago), existing for about 21 million years.

christosvoskresye doubtful because they distantly related to pigs and more related to hippos. And if that's any indication of the level of aggression then we wouldn't want to go near them.

I remember years ago. I watched a show where a farmers little pink pigs had escaped his farm. In an unbelievable amount of time they grew brown hair and tusk and became more instinctive and aggressive. They multiplied and became a huge problem for the whole town.

It's been recently determined that they were actually more likely members of the clade that hippos and cetaceans (whales) belong to, rather than pigs.

Isn’t that where the clades split? I’m not sure I follow, are you saying this particular beast is in the clade that goes to whales and not pigs? Like I said, I thought this is where they split so it could be either or

Closer to whales than to pigs. This is a very "alien" animal and so hard to imagine what it looked like with any accuracy. Some reconstructions look like hooved wolves, some like pigs. Seems to be a guess.
