Oh man, what a fucking unbelievable jam. That chorus after the gathering around the piano for a little sing song bit is absolute God tier shit. Music doesn't get much better than that.
"Oh if I could kidnap that feeling, the one that melts all fears from your mind I'd made no demands, no ransoms, cause I'd never set it free." That hit hard. What an incredible song this is.
Funny how this song is about nostalgia of the good old days of being young and not caring about the future, while I remember listening to this when I was still in school and now I am in my early 30's. Feels poetic almost. Regardless a banger as much today as this was back in the day!
No song has ever so perfectly encaptured the feeling of being a teen in the UK. Sneaking around places you shouldn't be, getting hammered on cider at that one friends house that was just always free. Running around on the rooves of the shopping centres you just knew how to get up to the top of instead of being in school. You did kidnap that feeling lads, good job.
To the multi story car park With our friends drinking from a bottle of white lightning on top of marks and sparks roof running smoking chronic hectic! And it seems that nothing now will ever change. And it seems that we're on our own again [x3] We'll convene at mine 3PM to play Sega Megadrive Golden Axe and Sonic all day Never Played It? (I'll Teach Ya) Can't Hack It? (I'll Beat Ya) That's Pendell making rhymes in the corner with a litre of the finest Scrumpy Jack, Whilst PDEX pumps out the latest big club track We'll chip it to Justin's and hit his King Kong then we'll gather round the piano for a little sing song. Oh if I could kidnap that feeling the one that melts all fears from your mind I'd make no demands, no ransoms. 'Cause I'd never set it free. 'Cause I'd never set it free. Oh if I could kidnap that feeling the one that melts all fears from your mind I'd make no demands, no ransoms. 'Cause I'd never set it free. 'Cause I'd never set it free. 'Cause I'd never set it free. Oh those halcyon days and halcyon nights Before we began to realise that things aren't right And it seems that nothing now will ever change. And it seems that we're on our own again.
I remember when this album came out and I enjoyed it so much but took everything at face value then as I became more conscious of the state of the world I listened closer to the lyrics and realized these guys were the greatest band ever created. Love yall, keep doing your thing
Под эту песню в наушниках я гнал на велосипеде по парку, пизданулся со ступенек об асфальт и потом мне зашивали глаз в больнице скорой помощи. Ентер шикари круто! Однозначно лайкос!
I think it's cause this album came out for a lot of people at the right time and age, I think I was 14 when CD first dropped, friends were listening to it, things like house parties and alcohol were becoming more common place, exams, end of high school round the corner, we thought we were growing up, but we had nae fucking clue really.
Remember being so disappointed about this album when It Came out the change was Bit too much love it now tho, came out the day of one of my GCSE tests time flies
@@SuperGameEskimo Well I agree is not bad , But also I think their harder stuff is WAY better . The spark is pop and they were post hardcore and I rather harder genres than pop.
