The trapdoor to the maze is always in a random Black Powder Mine room. The room with the trapdoor has small rat critters which won't attack you. Then, look on the floor for the trapdoor (it's very well hidden). When you find a trapdoor outline, "dance" on it for a while (walk on it over and over again). Then, use a regular key to open the hatch. At the end of the underground railroad, use a blank. Dodge roll into the corridor, walk to the end of it, and use another blank. Use the Gnawed Key to open the large gate. Fall down the huge rectangular pit in the new floor. Then, follow the directions on the Infuriating Notes (the cheeses are arrows). If you forgot them you can always look in your Ammonomicon. They are randomized for each player so don't look them up. You know you're doing it correctly if you don't encounter any empty rooms. (EDIT: Very rarely, you can encounter empty rooms but still be on the right way. Simply continue to follow the cheese arrows in this case). If you fail to find your way in the maze an elevator to the Hollow will drop down, and you'll have done all that for nothing. Once you have gotten past all of the extremely dangerous rooms with probably half a heart remaining, gather your pickups and head for the boss room where you'll probably die instantly. To get the Rat transformation you need all four items from his chests. Which means you either have to win the Punchout while finishing two phase of it with supers or you have to get lucky and have the chests be mimics (Lockpicks and Drill work too).
This boss is on a Lich difficulty level, and yet you fight it quite early on. I died on the second phase, and I need to thank you for allowing me to learn the patterns without panicking every picosecond.
@@Index154 how many times did it take for you to beat the rat?? And have you finished the punch out phase?? This boss is easily the hardest in the game for me, but you definitely made it look easy :)
It's really not too long before Lich unless you really try to get to it instead of killing the pasts, you'd probably unlock the gnawed key and Bullet Hell at close to the same time.
The fact that you have to fight him so early on probably makes this the hardest boss in the game. An easier method of dealing with this fight is using rainbow runs to get clone and then taking him your second playthrough. Ive beat every boss in the game but I have never beat him without using a rainbow run.
Actually got to the beholster today and managed to get him down to like 1/3rd. Still I tried to fix the elevator so I had no good guns and half health due to me trying to save up 3 keys and 120 money, until I looked up what's needed to give to Tailor next and stopped bothering. Still had only Magnum and M1 Garant for the fight. Also I managed to luck out once before and defeated Gorgun, so I guess she's the easiest for me even though I didn't repeated this victory yet (cause I go too far away from her and gaps in her scream patterns close on me)
Man, i was unlucky( or dumb) as hell, certain gun with a face from a certain dark toned chest appeared for me and i was sure that i would be able to beat this rodent, HOWSOEVER i didn't knew about the maze thing, so i ended up on floor 4

Everybody says that he's lich level of difficulty, and yet here i am going to try to kill HIM without even killing all the pasts. I still have convict's past to kill, but i just hate her so much, i have the robot unlocked but i don't see any caped kins so i didn't unlock the bullet.

I think I scared him out of it! I reported under his videos that they were stolen, and when I looked for them again (because I just read the reply) they were gone! Now, I know this makes it seem suspicious, but it doesn’t matter. I did my good deed for the day yesterday, and I’m okay with that.
Besides, keemstar isn’t going to report on an argument between a guy with 62 subs, and a guy with 26. No offense meant. I don’t even HAVE subs, or videos, for that matter. I just like to chat :-)
