This guide will show you the steps you need to take to get to the Resourceful Rat's lair in the Enter the Gungeon Advanced Gungeons & Draguns Update. Stream: / mungry Playlist: • Enter the Gungeon
You kick the rat's corpse into the hungry serpent and the serpent will eat the rat and it will then follow you around and block bullets. But when you get to the Dragun, the serpent fuses with the Dragun and it becomes the Advanced Dragun, which is much harder to beat.
A good advice for the punch out section is to forget about dodging left/right, attacks that can be avoided that way can be ducked. Also, alternate between left and right punches so you can inflict extra damage.
Kinda late to the party, but here is some additional info for newcomers: 1) you can go to the lair without the last note, but you will have 50% chance of finding the rat. Basically, you have 2 chances to walk the maze. If you make a wrong turn once, you can start it all over again and guess a second time. Since there are 4 possible directions for the final turn, you have 50% chance of making it. But if you fail, you can 100% get it the next time. 2) after you open first normal hatch, it's faster to go by foot on train tracks (I think if you board the cart, the corridor gets bigger, but I am not sure) 3) you don't have to knock out the rat with 3 star punch - one star is enough. If you knock him out with that, you get a key, if you use a normal attack, you just get an item. And at the end of the fight you can get either 1 or 2 keys depending on whether your final attack was a super. 4) the punch out game is really easy, but you have to get used to all the attacks first, which will take maybe a dozen runs. Don't be discouraged, it is very frustrating in the beginning, but gets easy fast. 5) if you want to know about the serpent, look it up on the wiki. You feed it 4 items, and then you get a super dragun fight in the forge after you beat it normally.
About numbers 2 and 3 Yes, on the minecart the room repeats. Just walk on the tracks. Also, while ending each phase with a super punch of any type will give you 5 keys, if you manage to end every phase with a 3-star, you will get a 6th key. This is the maximum amount of keys and lets you open all 4 chests AND get to the serpent.
Something you didn't mention about the first hatch it that you can use the drill to open it and you don't need to fight anything since it's not a chest.
Probably just me, but I've had this game for three years now and I've still yet to complete an entire playthrough. It's so damn hard! This video popped up in my recommended's and it sucks to know there's a cool secret boss fight that I'll probably never get to see in person.
@@gringohispanic Keep at it. It took me over 60 attempts to beat the first story/past. Then the next three weren't so bad. Once you get the basic patterns down it's much easier for bosses and regular enemies. Some bosses are much harder than others so that can be a run killer. If you're just trying to finish a story/past skip the extra stages like the Oubliette. You can run them for extra gear but your chances of getting killed go up because the extra stages are much more difficult. I still have yet to kill the Lich and get enough money to get the Gnawed Key. It will be a long time before I can unlock the Gunslinger as well.
@@p373r21 Still haven't killed the Lich but finally got my first and second attempt at fighting the Resourceful Rat. First time I died at the second stage and the second time (thanks Clone!) I got to the Punch Out!! fight and got to the second round. Got a couple Rat Keys but I was on a Rainbow Run so I couldn't loot anything. Oh, well. At least I'm getting better enough to get that far.
Punch out against that guy is a whole other challenge my god, I finally beat it after like 8 times but it's hard Also r/theydidthemath, the chances of guessing the maze without any notes is 1 in 1024!
There are 4 directions and 6 notes. So it would be winning a 1/4 6 times in a row. Wouldn't it be (1/4)^6 or 1/4096? 1/1024 is only (1/4)^5. Am i missing something?
@Lorenzo Flores Beat Mike Tyson in the original game and maybe you'll stand a chance. Keep in mind Mike Tyson is known for being one of the most unforgiving bosses in gaming history but yeah have fun. I am working on even beating Dragon regularly so I think I'll save this boss for later
Hey my maze says to go up and the down and the right should i really gdo that i mean it shouldnt be for be to beat a room and then just ge back, should i not do the useless one?
Yeah, I died pretty quickly in the 3rd phase. I walked away thinking this was the dumbest thing I've seen. Didn't enjoy it and not a fight I care to try again because of it was just. Was too gimmicky for my taste.
@@derekgardner1861 I've yet to beat it to this day. And I don't think I ever will. But I still make the attempt, just so that I can try and unlock the rat's items. God, though. It's like fighting the end game fight of Punch Out, but you've never played Punch Out before. I understand what you got to do, but I don't have that experience to properly do anything. Man. Imagine going to play Punch Out so that you can learn how to beat the Resourceful Rat. hue
You have to give the serpent some guns and then when you get to the high dragun it gets eaten and the dragun gains all of its health also gets new attacks
The Snake is the only way to access the third and final stage of the High Dragun, it's a golden Dragun, he has new attacks, more health, and after you'll kill him you'll take his skull up put it in the breach
Kind of weird that you unlock the skull from that because his head explodes when he dies in that form. Anyway, hope to someday have that bastard’s skull.
That serpent is the High Dragun's baby. When you get the serpent and continue to the High Dragun it will make that boss fight harder having to beat him twice.
ill tell you: first fight he throws poison circles, swings a tail of bullets, throws shrikens, mousetraps, and shoots cheese in a 360 circle. he also pulls cheese to him in a big bang attack in all directions Second fight: the mecha uses the target that spins on you and then drops a bomb of bullets. try to keep your blanks for this second part or have an item that reuse blanks. shoot the big gun and taank on his side so he wont use them but he will stomp a big ass trail of bullets. just wait in one spot so the bullet generally go one way and rool to safety...tbh if you dont have at least one good ass gun it will be hard. try to not get hit on the bosses to have alot of hearts the fight tho was the hardest for me since i didnt play the punchout with mike tyson back in the day. 1st round: just wait till he does the showoff in your face for about 3 seconds and hit him on the 3rd for a star. 2nd round: wait till he starts slugging. depending on which punch he throws first just counter after blocking the first one. 3rd round. he throw ammo blocks. punch them in whichever direction back. he does a crazy spin. punch him before he starts. if he does the slugging follow second round. the tail attack can be blocked. the pullback attack cant but i assume if you attack fast enough you can maybe gat star that way... hope i helped i know its long
did him on my first attempt because I got the super hot watch in chamber 1 from my first chest. So yeah, he was a pushover. I failed at punchout though and only got one key, which unlocked the gun for me.
Of all the notes i have just two have the cheese, i tried to go to the rat but when i tried to follow the directions of the cheese i ended in an room with that bullet elevator to the fouth floor, what did i do wrong?
This rat is way harder than the lich. I’ve never played punchout, so you can imagine my big what the fugg energy when I was suddenly playing a completely different game.
Those kunai throw are one crazy fast attack, let's not even talk about the cross hair bullet that follows you around. Then there is the punch out..... its a god dam trial to get past the second phase.
just did the rat for the first time, couldnt beat phase 2. I lost too many health at phase one for dumb reasons cuz i didnt know his attacks yet. If ur a lil carefull its not too hard. Phase 2 is simply a pain for me tho
The punch out part looks way easier than you're making it out to be, but to be fair, I'm currently on Super Macho Man TD on Punch Out for the Wii, so I am a changed man
Can someone help me My directions are down,up,down,up,up,down and every time i go down and then up i enter the same room as before with no enemies After folowing the coordinates I get the elevator
I've get to the punch out part two times and he keeps kicking my sorry ass. The Metal Gear part is already harder than the Lich (in my opinion) but the boxing phase is just hardcore. I'm not sure I'll be able someday of besting him.
I know I’m 7 months late but if the question is still being asked: it means you did the maze wrong! So if you ever run out of time going thru the maze/labyrinth or go thru the wrong set of doors you are lead to the 4th floor elevator room which you are forced to take. I suggest looking at your Infuriating Notes again and seeing if you messed up the directions! :) once you have all 6 Infuriating Notes, the directions you get on them shouldn’t change but always make sure either way!
Just practice, man. Gungeon can be a very hard game at the beginning, but it gets a lot easier with time. You have to concentrate on your dodge rolling and movement and stop looking at your target, specially during boss fights. Try timing your blanks as well, and if you play with the controller, turn on the aim assist so you can shoot enemies more often without aiming too much. Just a quick tip, good luck.
