Good video as always. Since these are mostly USMLE/COMLEX focused, I would like to also add that Enterococcus causes Subacute Endocarditis following Genitourinary or Gastrointestinal procedures. Thought it was highyield. S.A.B.E following GI/GU procedures: Enterococcus S.A.B.E following dental procedures: S. Sanguinis (Viridans). Love your videos!

The chart at the end removes ampicillin as at option if it is VRE, but in reality you would still use amp/amox if susceptible. If E Faceium, vanc resistance often comes with amp resistance, but for E. faecalis (the more common pathogen) amp/amoxicillin is almost always an option.

can u please answer this? A 52-year-old man, generally in good health, is diagnosed with carcinoma and is scheduled for surgery. While waiting for his HMO to arrange for a bed, he develops persistent low-grade fever and constitutional symptoms. Physical examination is unremarkable other than a heart murmur not previously present. Outpatient blood cultures yield grampositive, α-hemolytic cocci. The most likely cause for the clinical picture is:

Pls help me .. 3 years of resistant entercoucuss feacalis .. all the urologist don't know how to treat it ... I have resistance to many antibiotic ..my doctors don't want to refer me to infectious disease doctors... pls help ..

The best option is amoxycicline 875/125 clavocilin take 2 tablet per day for 21 day and apple vinegar 2 table spoons with water it solved my problem of enterococus faecalis totally and enjoyng the life!!!

Guys I am 24 yrs old had was infected with ecoli and enterococcus a year ago and later the reports came out to be negative but symptoms didn’t subside can anyone pls help

@Billy Cain Infection is gone but i got permanent damage from it, unable to get an erection at all, low stream, urgency, these are constant fo month doesnt seem that there is something to be fixed, doctors cant find anything wrong, it just got broken...
