Damn man seeing these comments makes me so sad. Yes, our political system is very depressing but that doesn't mean we should completely lose hope. We NEED to remember that the Nepalese people have never have had such freedom. Democracy is still very young in our country and we as a nation should remember the sacrifices made by our ancestors to remove the autocratic monarchy that did little to the nation and the people. The solution for the current political turmoil isn't to bring back the autocratic monarchy but it is to reform our current political system and support rising political leaders that can turn our country around.

Pride should be in development of the country. Finding in pride in institution (be it any, democracy, republic, monarchy) is idiotic. The reason why older kings of nepal had "respect" (that too only from 1962-1990) was because they were absolute monarch. An absolute monarch from a dirt poor nation could still get the same level of respect.
