Pauls book was an astonishing read. Without Paul we would have no Kiss band, and Paul makes it clear it's his band. He saved the band so many times over the years.
You make a lot of comments on Kiss videos I totally disagree with but on this occasion, I think you're spot on. While I doubt the work ethic was ever evenly divided 25% even from day 1, there's no doubt by the end of the 70s it was Paul & Gene's band. Gene found more important things to do for most of the 80s and without Paul's input, Kiss would have disappeared. People can say what they want about Paul, Gene, ex-members, current members or the band in general over the past 30 years, but if it wasn't for Paul there'd have been no band to have been talking about in that time.
I met Paul at a restaurant/bar in Boston a few years back, he was with a party of four and I ran up for an autograph, couldnt be a nicer person, he talked to me and was so pleasant, even asked me what instrument I play. Good man & if you read this by any chance - Thank You Paul!
All I know is, when I was sick as a teen in the hospital (just to differentiate between all the shit I hear about him nowadays on social media), I sent him a bunch of artwork first class postage (because I heard somewhere that they had to open first class mail) - my Ma' says she included a letter in the package asking him to consider what it would mean to me to get any kind of response. A short time later, I got an actual phone call from him - and it made my whole world right then. No one should ever say they are so out of touch, because they really do appreciate their fans.
Stu Naumann ...he hit it right on the head when he stated that " it was funny to watch for a moment, but not funny behind the scenes"...I can relate...he rocks ! 😁
Totally!, I got very impressed with how kind and the sensitive person he is, and that leads me to understand why he became the heart and mind behind the band.
Why does everyone think he's a psychiatrist? They should be asking him about his 50 year music career. He's very highly intelligent. And he does help the veterans too. What a great guy. He truly is the heart n soul of KISS.❤What a true gentleman. He loves his fans.💕
Paul is arguably one of the greatest front man in rock and roll. He’s no question a great song writer (and the best song writer in Kiss). His book is by far the best, and I believe the most accurate. He is a great American rock and roll icon, and should be treated as such.
Every time I stumble opon videos like this it never fails to move me. Paul is so filled with love of life and is very generous with his fans. His humanity is overwhelming and has no boundaries. Amazing man through and through. God bless you, Paul.
@Lebo leigh Leigh really a married man with 4 kids? And why is it trashing when he was sober all those years, and recalls those storys with a clear head, your envy is showing, go learn some dignity and class, your in desperate need of both
That little girl tho...that was so adorable. I wouldn’t have been able to do that if I was her. She’s so brave and I hope she and her family are doing alright
I tear up Everytime i see the clip of him with that beautiful little girl, how any parents can call their child stupid is beyond me I do think Paul's right he will regret it but the main thing is I hope he will change and rebuild that relationship with his daughter before it's too late . God bless ya Paul
Paul Stanley is such a great guy well spoken and really treats his fans really good, I wish I could of been at This event I will always be a Kiss and Paul Stanley fan!!!
I've said this before and and I'll say this again, Paul Stanley is a wonder human being and a class act and ALWAYS treats his fans like gold. 👍 Way to go, Paul.
I love the intimate interview setting where he can hear personal stories and have contact with the people in the audience. I Can personally identify with Paul regarding his hearing impediment. I as well have problems hearing from my right side. When you hear someone talking to you, there is a split second you are wondering where the voice is coming from;what direction.
I met Paul when the group put out solo albums. He arrived at George Bush (formerly IAH) airport in Houston, TX. Asked him to sign my plane ticket stub because I didn't have anything else. He said sure and signed it with a full signature, not one of those abbreviated scribbles some celebrities do. Great guy.
I met him, too. He is one of the most grounded and empathetic people I have ever had the honor to meet. I let him know of everything I went through. He didn't care how long I took, he was just ready to listen. The reason? I was on the verge of tears trying to tell him personally of what I went through with 'Sonic Boom' and bullying. I was so emotional with him in front of the other members. He had to corner me and calm me down before they went onto the rest of the fans. He could tell I was no ordinary fan, I got so emotional that he had to slow down the line to give the effort to me and help me through the story I was trying to describe to him. I then told him of my savings and he, along with the rest of them, absolutely lost it,so that's my fondest memory of the Starchild. He made me feel like I could trust him with anything I said. That's a big deal to me. Gene is one of the most patient members, we spoke for 25 minutes!!!! It still leaves me in denial. I was 14 then and am 17 now. Tommy is one of the meekest members and the most reserved, such an honorable amount of humility from him. I will tell you, the band did an in-store signing and one of the fans got a hold of Tommy and wanted VIP with the band and couldn't afford it. Well, Tommy Thayer used to be involved in the band's archives so when this guy asked him to help him and his friend, he was like, "Sure thing!", so he goes through the team and then asks the guys if they had ID. They had two photos of themselves each and pieces of paper with their names. He said "Well that's about all I can do to help, hope you make it back with us?" and left. Well, he looks through the window and finds his friend signing a paper. It was the admission to get into VIP for free, the contract to sign yourself and your guest in there. When they made it back there, Tommy Thayer, in full makeup and costume recognized the guy and his friend and said, "Glad you made it back here with us, enjoy the show, brother!". That's the kind of class he has! And Eric will stay and sign for ten hours or more no problem by request or just at random timing!
Oh NO, Eric Singer?! Him and Tommy grew UP as fans and believe me, they have both been to KISS Expo's, the KISS Koffeehouse, etc., and have stayed there signing for 9 to 10 hours or more. Their patience and generosity is off the charts around the KISS ARMY.

The thing I love about Paul is your always going to hear stories of others thinking there the big man and trashing on others Paul does not care about what others say or do and is happy doing his own thing. Also to be so humble and respectful to others is awesome . The fans ask for so much and he still delivers
when that little girl got up there it brought me to tears. for some reason paul was never my fav of the 4 but now he is and always will be. i love you paul eisen
Paul, if you see this, you are a stand up guy big dog! I was born in 77. What an inspiration you have been to everyone after you! There was nothing like you guys! No single metal band ( cause thats what you are to me), has ever been more influential to metal! You ask any great metal band, and they'll tell you, KISS started it all! Except for Ozzy, and Alice Cooper, there is no bigger ( not that they were), influence to metal! You guys were the big three, but you guys stand alone on top! Thank you infinity! Your impact is permanent! Rock on metalhead! Yeeew!
In a sense, I have to agree with you. KISS and Ace in particular were a reason for many kids, especially in Scandinavia, to want a guitar for Christmas and they grew up to become very influential metal artists.
But as far as influential metal/proto-metal bands go, here is the list of ten bands that were the most influential in respective areas and subgenres: Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Iron Maiden, Venom, Metallica, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Bathory, Death, Mayhem, Meshuggah.
Paul is really an amazing guy! I'm impressed with how quick he is. I have a feeling he may be a little tired of all the idol worship. P.S. Thanks for posting this.
Yeah I'm not sure I would go to an event like this and ask Paul to help with my problems, but yeah that little girl and her mom pulled at my heart strings.... touching moment
that was so awesome. thank you whoever produced this and thank you so much more for whoever produced this. thank you so very much for bringing this to us. i love you with all my heart. i would like to thank Paul too.
I love that Paul took the time to recognize the US Army Soldier. That is great! As I 24 year retired US Army First Sergeant, I really think it's great that Paul did that. Big thanks! I have been a Kiss fan since 1977 when I first heard Kiss Alive.
As a Kiss fun I can't believe so many people are there to ask for compassion from PS. He's a real gent but what's the point to show up and ask anything about music or Rock'nroll
Love Paul, what a great stand up, humble man. He's so kind and down to earth. He treats everyone with respect and dignity. 45 years of being KISS, frontman. What a joy he brings to millions, of fans with his songs. Plus he looks great for being 68 years old. What a 💦TRUE ROCK LEGEND💦❤💚💜💙💖LONG LIVE KISS!!!!💖
@@CP-kb1du that has nothing to do with my comment, who is talking about ACE or a logo? , did i say that ? you ascertained that how ? My comment was based on the content of the interview in THIS VIDEO, My Reason that he is the one with the STAR (whether you like him or not) is the FACT that he has evolved in the music business , and how he was a part of bringing Kiss along and has kept it together all these years , wrote songs , sang the songs (meanwhile with only one ear) what he has done with wounded warriors, bullying , charities and how carry's himself in THIS VIDEO etc.. etc... and Have you listened to the people in this video , that is the reason he is the one with the STAR !!!
I don't like Kiss at all, but seeing the fans dedication and the way that Paul Stanley really validates them and interacts with them is pretty awesome. Guys a total pro
I'm glad I watched this after seeing the Ace and Gene interview on Vault with the fans. Paul really held it together well and no need to go back and revisit arguments or falling out with past members. Good crowd really apart from some of the talkers during Paul speaking.
You are very emphatic Paul and Gene too you both have such a difficult time as you was a child and now you are so great and make so wonderful music it is really graet you are the best it is so hard to make Forward and to go through difficults time s
J"ai adoré son livre lu en 2 jours, il a fallut attendre longtemps pour l'avoir en français. Sans lui pas de groupe Kiss il n'a jamais quitté le navire. Merci Paul ⚘️
funny how people thank him for selling them stuff, even if its good stuff. or how people take one sentence he said and put it on a pedestal just because it comes from him.

I thanked you for recording Gene’s. Thank you also for recording this. I’m in Australia and our chances of attending things like this are low. Though I have once- Gene’s. But thanks again
I really appreciated his answer to the very first questions about COS. Never knew until know how Paul felt about the album but I can understand his reasons. Once again Gene dropped the ball and led the band into a direction that was senseless.
