@@montwestblack3678 I've got a boss HM-1 pedal and lemme tell ya, it sounds like shit with all the knobs turned to max. You gotta fiddle with the settings a bit and it'll sound great.
In the early '90's, for a period i used to "cradle" myself listening to Deicide's "Legion", in bed at night, to fall asleep easierly. AUTHENTIC . . . And yes, songs from "Clandestine", among other d.m. masterpieces, somehow relax me, but only if i don't exceed a given time of listening, otherwise the overwhelming, aggressive sound can get me nervous . . .
Alot of kids days dont know what's good death metal.. Yes nowadays we have blast beats and deeper pig soundin growls but to connect with the message and how the guitar intertwines with the song u get a much better experience.. Love the 1st & 2nd wave of death metal
If you pulled blast beats, deep guttural vocals, and the most badass guitar playing tone and kept it all consistent then the best band will probably come out
most modern death metal is just plain boring. There is absolutely no soul to it, just tasteless music wankery. SweDeath and OSDM are so much more interesting and it's actual music, not a talent show.
I've got the vinyl, bought it as it came out, i wasn't even in the high school, in my country there are three years between the elementary school and the highschool called middle school, and i had this gatefold cover lp when i was studying there. Good metal never dies!!! And to think taht it seems like an eternity has passed. Early fuckin' '90's...
While listening to this i just noticed a Mercyful Fate vibe, in the guitar. I bought this album when it first came out, but i noticed the particular MF vibe in this particular song just today, i don't know why, honestly.
I went and saw them on this tour, was kinda bummed that Lars was no longer the singer, but low and behold, he came out from backstage and continued the legacy.
A sublime poem on the Truth of Life, or on a part of Life's meaning that you don't want to discover and like: that's what "Crawl" is, before being a top metal song.
Lyrics: Father set me free from this altar of death Dead fingers cold as ice touches my flesh As it passed through my soul and body The fear I thought was gone grows Tears of regret and confusion This is not what I wanted to know I have embraced the truth Beyond lies where honesty reigns I thought I gave my life But back I was only given pain I once stood at the threshold of my desire Losing ground now I'm this horrid truth's denier The nocturnal hour is passed Here nothing can last I sought and screamed in pain But there was nothing to gain Nihility arise from the bottom of no lies From here to eternity I just can be set free Father help me die away from reality My arms and legs are bound Please grant me mortality I'm losing it Crawling upon these white walls of truth For the darkest cold I've wasted my entire youth I'm crawling down The dirt that I licked off my mind The truth you'll never want to find
@@blakestormcrow6275 yes, but in the lyrics sheet of the original press (and prolly of the latter presses) there is written "father". More, it's "for the darkest void", not "cold".
Nicke Andersson has frigging great vocals, and you can actually tell what words is coming out (:D) I guess most of you guys are aware that he is the lead vocalist on this album, and the US guy listed as vocalist is actually the background vocalist.
This says something! If dödsmetall is not really your go-to style but you still think Entombed is good... then it shows you are into _music_ and not into _genres_. Also that Entombed might convince fans of other genres! Good. Very good. :}
