As a liverpool fan I watched both of the games we played against leicester ( carabao cup and preseason) and I can tell you this Maresca guy is absolutely horseshit
They're not sitting back against Liverpool at anfield and they're pressing and often successful build ups which is a great sign for a championship team
@@InstigatorDJ if what you're saying is true then at least they did attack and kept the ball moving rather than playing passive like any other championship team
U makes a real point something plastics Chelsea's fans dnt understand anything abt football, dey only goes against all opinions nd ideas dey brought to d table.
don't be too sure man, this is not impressive at all, poch gave us a glimpse of what's to come next season in the last five games man, it was way better than this, am sorry.
Poch gave you a glimpse against what team exactly? Teams that were already on holidays. He couldn't beat 10 men Burnley or Sheffield, was destroyed against Arsenal and Liverpool away. What glimpse exactly
@@benjaminoke7422 cmon man against low teams this is a championship team maresca came into and made them do this to liverpool btw at their home stadium with every leicster player being worse than a chelsea player in any position we have good passers and the fastest person in football right now and he can dribble and shoot who is mudryk
I just hope u see why chelsea opt to sell Gallagher now, possession based football needs guys that are comfortable on the ball especially in tight space
Me as Junior for what I know I see maresca is going to be better for Chelsea next season Chelsea fans you just wait you will see what I said about maresca
Who knows leister before should know that this man really transformed them they look better now than even when they won the title, don't get me wrong I mean they play a modern football with no pressure they are so calm their decision making is to notch, I think with the raw talents in Chelsea he's the real deal
Lavia and Santos-who was also targeted by City meaning he fits Enzo style as well-both gonna replace Gallagher. Arujo or at least someone as good will replace Chalobah.
No brother, Pochettino does not use this type of setup at all. Pochettino’s system is heavily reliant on getting the ball to the flanks as early as possible and teams that stopped him from doing that battered Chelsea e.g Utd 2-1, Newcastle 4-1, Liverpool 4-1, Arsenal 5-0, and other teams that put them under immense pressure because they pressed them in those areas e.g Wolves 4-2, Nottingham 1-0 and 3-2, Luton 3-2, Bournemouth 2-1, Sheffield 2-2, Leeds 3-2 and Everton 2-0. Two completely different coaches seriously
No! Poch's Chelsea likes to play vertically with emphasis on getting the ball forward quickly. He doesn't prioritise controlling the game in midfield it's why we conceded so many goals.
I try to take a peek what hype currently in football that every people said xabi alonso ball was good, but when I see leverkusen play I mean its like a usuall football nothing new, and they got a many goal from set piece, and motta to in bologna they said they dont have any fix position anymore in the field but whe i watch i find it boring. but this maresca team are different i saw exciting play here and ther and the players very dynamic good football
This style would need all our centre defenders to be sold except colwil even we need a ball playing goal keeper, maybe kepa would return,we would concede several goals with this
Let's keep in mind that we have better players than Leicester, and with more reinforcements over the summer, we should have fewer failed build-ups (especially if we acquire a world-class CB). I'm also hoping we can sign a world-class striker, which would help us capitalize on more chances - something Leicester struggled with in this video. This has been a big problem for us this season.
As great as this looks they only managed 4 shots all game , with 1 on target being the goal, liverpool had 29 shots with 10 on target , i remember the game and liverpool cut them open way too easily at times, they passed out the back really well though.
Play like that is too dangereous, too scary, in building up from the back the keeper turns into a CB, during this kind of phase the sticks are empty, you loose the ball you are cooked ...😢
Too much emphasis here on keeping the ball, something which may work at the Championship level but isn't necessarily the best approach in the Premier League level. A team of limited athletic ability trying to play this kind of game against Liverpool can work for a little while until Liverpool tired them out and simply overwhelmed them. I hope with the higher quality at Chelsea he will give players the liberty to improvise with longer passes, faster breakout plays, and quick shots on goal; as well as these little passes coming out of a press when necessary and when faced with weaker teams that don't press very well. Guardiola's system is fine as long as his defensive side of the game works at a high level, and then his team can slow things down on the attack and pick you apart. ManCity breaks down when the opposition keeps breaking down his high line in opportunistic attacks, even with low possession. Chelsea has the players to execute a more mixed system depending on the opposition. I hope this coach sees that.
If Chelsea want a more mixed system they should have went for Mc Kenna. Going for Maresca is a safe option in my opinion but I don't think they would dominate with Maresca.
A good coach knows when to adjust your game plan to outdo your opponent. This game ended 3:1 in favour of Liverpool because Enzo stuck to his play philosophy... They'll be equally thump if he brings rigidity to Chelsea
Zidane was unproven And he won Madrid 3 champions league plus la liga Pep Guardiola was unproven and he won them Barcelona Sixtuple Jose Mourinho was unproven and he won porto treble Every manager was unproven in thier career At some point of thier lives
@@nathanelchrist549 I agree with you totally. It seems people don’t understand how football works. And even Alonso at Bayer 04 Leverkusen is a clear example of how an unknown or unproven Coaches can do wonders…
Thats some heart pounding passing close to your own goal...Im afraid that CFC back boys are not as technical and will fk up the build up play. Ama stock up on heart pills for next season.
damn, it's cool, but Enzo will have Chelsea fans clenching their asses when they play like this. I can see why Leicester fans are bitter-sweet by him leaving
What I find hilatious is, this appointment for Chelsea smacks of desperation. Young manager who they can tell what to do. Not going to end well hahahah
That is nonsense....a possession based team does it any here irrespective of squad quality....but I didn't see the alleged possession football when Leicester played Chelsea.
@@josephjohn907 yet they had better tactical game that Leicester. Schedule that game again, Chelsea would beat them again.... not just cos of quality....cos of tactics.
