Oh yeah... that looks soooo much better!! These are still beautiful cars, but that stock Nav screen is so outdated and has terrible resolution, so it kind of drags down the elegance of the interior. This is a great fix for that small problem!!!
I have a 04 with Nav. Instead of running the extended harness to the back, could I remove the CD changer and somehow connect to the AMP inside the glove compartment? (Sorry for possible ignorance)
Thanks for making this post Maya...I have a 2003 HSE and am strongly considering putting one of these EONON units in it. The fact that you responded to pretty much all of the important questions in the comment section makes this a very informative video. I really appreciate it. It's too bad the clock can't be set from the EONON as it would pretty much be perfect if it did.
Hi, I would like to ask you, does this system supply the Range Rover info display. Like in my current display system I can read the consume, rage etc or the wheels info. The model I have is a 2005 Range Rover (Sorry for any grammar or referential errors, English is not my native language) Thank you :D
I have an 04 Range Rover full size and like everyone, I hate the factory radio head. Eonon currently recommends the GA9201A . Has anyone installed the 9201A in their Rover L322? Also, what harness cable did you purchase to utilize the Rover's factory amplifier? Any tips or tricks I will take. Thanks mayathebutterfly for the great videos of your installed. They make it look like a factory install of the Eonon Radio head unit.
Just did this in stall myself today and it came out fantastic take me about maybe an hour and a half to figure it all out as they do not come with instructions but it was not that hard since I have wired a few stereos in my day you do need the extended cable the ao579 and you do need the head unit ga7201 it's plug and play, just have to be creative with hiding the long extender cable. I'm in Los Angeles hit me up 2004 Range Rover logic 7
Jae Sea so thats all you need total? No extra harness? And it works perfectly with a 2004 Range Rover HSE? Please answer and i wish you did an install video.
Hi, would you be able to provide a link to one that's compatible with a 2003 Range Rover HSE? Also, do you need wifi/dat connection to use the GPS navigation?
www.eonon.com/mobile/BMW-E39-Android-8-0-Car-DVD-Bluetooth-Receiver-2-GB-RAM-Octa-core-Car-GPS-Navigation-System-7-Inch-HD-Capacitive-Touchscreen-Multimedia-Car-DVD-Player-With-Steering-Wheel-Control.html&Catype=1 Fyi you can purchase maps from them. Wifi tethering is if you want use your phone data on your device
Dude, Nice re-fit. Can you tell me where you purchased this from? I believe (reading the comments) that there is a new model -- do you know if this new model is plug and play as well? When you say there is an extended cable, can you tell me exactly where that goes and how you install it? I am tech savvy, but I have not wired in a stereo for about 25 years!
shedlock2000 Eonon.com. The new Radio is plug and play Android 7.1. www.eonon.com/Android-Car-GPS/Vehicle-Specific-GPS/BMW-E39-Android-71-1-Din-Car-Stereo-7-Inch-Multimedia-In-Dash-Car-DVD-GPS-Navigation-Support-Steering-Wheel-Control.html
Sweet! Thank you for the link. I like the flat front on this -- it fits much better than other models I have seen. How long was the install, and what's with the extended cable thingy?
Well done very good choice // is an Android ?? / I have a pionneer but this screen is bigger and fits very better than mine ...not sure about sound quality vs pionneer ??
This replacement unit looks great and provides an option for modernizing my 2004 RR. A few questions for MAYATHEBUTTERFLY... 1) As you are close to Philly and I am out near Downingtown/Exton would you be interested in doing my install and pulling in some extra $$? 2) How do you control the non-audio features that the original head unit controls in terms of the vehicle (i.e. resetting the clock, etc.)? Again... awesome job.
@@mayathebutterfly I was about to ask the same question for my 08 RR HSE. It would be nice if I could find one that can include the 4x4 settings display.
Thanks for this video. I also have a 2004 Range Rover HSE with Logic 7 sound system (Navigation, CD changer) etc. Did you have the same system? Would really appreciate your help to determine if this Eonon unit will work with my setup.
Thanks. I tested it and it all works. Now I have to install it which is going to be tedious. Did you run the extension cables on driver side or the passenger side? Did you keep the old screen in the glovebox? And what about the BM54 unit? Sorry for bombarding you with questions. All installation details online are for British RR DSP systems that is different than what have in US.
Khalid Saifullah I ran it on the driver side. the cd changer was removed prior so it is not there. extension cable needed. eonon instructions are accurate so just read on website
Hi, the switch off button goes to restoration menu; button lights don´works, radio don´t recive, it´s impossible to configurate land rover initial logo, and wheel steering control, it´s impossible to fix hour an date on panel of range rover. Eonon saids me that this model isn´t for Range; my model is GA5166
Could you link me to a model that will fit a 2003 Range Rover? Seems like all the ones in the thread and video are out of stock. Not sure which one to use, much appreciated if you can!
Just did this install - got everything to work on the eonon system except the actual radio stations. Is there a reason or way to fix this? There is a lot of static for the most part, can barely make out any of the stations, however certain times it will be clear in some areas.
Through a bit of trial and error I was able to install it myself. It was pretty easy once I figured it out. the hardest part is routing the harness through the dash and to the back of the truck. It works just as described in the video. Side note for all that are looking to purchase the Eonon. They no longer offer the 6201F. I bought the 6201 with the necessary wiring harness from eBay.
@@mayathebutterfly thanks I see some of the ratings on this stereo is not Great is there a newer model of this and you know the model number and model number of the harness needed?
HI Mayathebutterfly. I also have a 2004 RR but my connections look different than www.ebay.com/itm/182411217247. Mine are two rows with about 36 pins for the pigtail connection to the HK Amp and tuner. My HK Amp is part#XQK500050. See here for the connection I'm talking about. i.ebayimg.com/images/g/gpoAAOSwM2RZg2PT/s-l1600.jpg Do you make an extension cable or adapter for this amp? The Tuner has the same connector. I guess this is a late 2004 amp.
