This is the type of content that take people off ledges in a world where many chase after dopamine to numb their pain and silence the noise in their heads. I've battled so much too with caring much what people thought about me which made me feel shameful but as I've begun to really trust and believe God and what he says about me, all that shame just disappeared as long as I kept my focus on him and his word.

I felt every bit of this!... In tightening up my relationship with Christ, I'm realizing that God allows those "people" experiences to show us ourselves... the areas that we still need to work on and those things we've surpassed! It's the best feeling knowing you've grown past who you once were because you now understand more of who you are and your purpose! Those things/people that don't align always shows themselves and then also remove themselves because they don't or no longer have a place... I'm understanding that it's all necessary to weed out what isn't nourishing to the journey to make room for all that is, to build on solid foundation. Megan, your gift is making room for you!! And it's beautiful to witness!🛖❤

This is so beautiful and I’m only in the first 20 minutes. The first 20 minutes I had a revelation about my timing to responses, knowing WHO God is my reactions to things took way too long to turn to him. Why did I dwell on a situation when I know WHO God is, my flesh is feeling hurt, mad, etc. I noticed how quicker I am NOW to go straight to GOD, not talk to others about something but immediately to him. ❤ Thank you Megan for being a vessel!

I literally almost scream hearing the first few minutes of this on the podcast app !!! Literally the last two days this has been my prayer and my silent conversations with God. God was showing me in order to stop being a people pleaser, you have to figure out why it’s not important to you to please me first instead of people. I woke up today and said I was going to continue doing my podcast and talk about my personal experience with “people pleasing”.

Oh sweet Megan, my heart melted. I’ve struggled with females relationships myself and it hurts😢. I recently walked away from a friendship of twenty years. It is painful, but I trust God. Staying somewhere and you cannot be seen authentically as God sees you is a disservice for you and that person. I believe God is with you both. Pray for her/them, and pray to God to bless you with the correct people for you. Put your time into fulfilling God purpose for you. You’ll look back and realized that this was the best decision God made tor you. I’m praying for you😘🙏🏾😘

I’m an only child too and I’ve never had someone speak about my experience so clearly. I couldn’t have described this better myself as I’ve never actually been able to articulate how I feel so the first bit of this episode literally made me cry. The longing to have approval from others due to growing up pretty isolated and not having any siblings 😢 I’m in my 20s now and struggling with relationships/friendships due to people pleasing so I’m soooo grateful for this video. We have to do what’s pleasing to God by any means necessary, everything in love and compassion but we have to answer to God at the end of it all. I'm with you Megan, im a quote kind of girl. But when I let God do his work and i say let not because i had any authority to order him to but because it required my willingness and openness and surrender... girrllllll i dont know where Miss Petty is. I sometimes miss her. But it has also become a reminder that whenever Miss Petty comes around i realize im letting the enemy in and not drawing closer to God. Because Miss Petty and God can not coexist AT ALL. praise Jesus.

Megan, Megan, Megan I NEEDED this.. whew, I didnt know that I was personally dealing with this until God revealed that I had this but with my family. I was so determined to get their approval, to get their acceptance and validation for when God told me something, I would go to them for "Validation" and God had to get me together like "How are you going to seek validation from the creation about the creator?" And when I tell you, had me ON HUSH MODE. I was like OMG.

Thank you. God used you to confirm what I "SHOULD" be doing in this season but sometimes my flesh undermines me. Surrendering to God my heart and "ALL THE AREAS THAT CONCERN ME"..a much better way to address these areas. I literally cannot do anything on my own but with CHRIST ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. I needed this…I have struggled to release the betrayal and misperception from my best friend of 10 years. I was blindsided and never saw her heart posture towards me coming my way. Love and real friendship is all I had to give. It’s almost like I was a burden in her life and was sacrificed in order for her light to shine. The opinions of others affected me right after to where I developed trust issues and even afraid to allow anyone else in my friend space. Thank you for the clarity and transparency 💚

Noah didnt believe God when he told him to build an arc because he never saw a flood. Despite his discouragements and being ridiculed by his neighbours, he still obeyed God and was able to save his family when the great flood arrived. Megan said “My number one priority is to please God first before pleasing everybody else” 👏👏 This is a word!!!! 🙌Sometimes in life we try to please other people and that’s gets us no where. God is a jealous God! We put no man before him. I am learning this. I grew up also in the church as a child but sometimes we grow up. @12:50 that makes sense because we are representing God and you want to represent well because he is your father so you care in that aspect. In the aspect of really caring about what he thinks. I agree 100% to add, From my perspective it's about just making sure that it's understood that your actions are purified before you take them. Being a image barrier is a side effect of allowing God to guide you.
