I love the idea that you have given your personal insight and perspective on this interaction. I have come to realize that women in general are more concerned about how you say things and what you say in perspective to how it makes them feel. As many have noted women will lie to each other to make one another feel good, and absolutely reject the truth if it will hurt. We have to learn when men speak, they are being up front and honest. Which should be respected instead of rejected. These scenarios are set up for failure considering the limited opportunity for conversation. I say all of this to say, listening to your commentary reveals that you are a more interesting person than the show has given you an opportunity to portray.

It's not an obsession with race at all, but I love to see black people going and operating against every image, stigma, and narrative of the media and otherwise. And besides that, most of these types of shows I've seen have always had an us against them type of feel when the contestants were interacting. This show was one of the rare cases that I saw people like me act both intelligently and respectfully. I hope this answers your question....
