Brendan, withdrawal is 100x worse than a hangover. Imagine the worst anxiety ever, with full body aches that you feel in your bones that is 10/10 pain. You’re dripping sweat, puking and crapping, and just feel hopeless and want to cry non stop. Opiates are the devil.

@@Carson-pv4hr subs are only hard to get off of if you’re on them long term. I’ve done a quick sub taper to get off drugs multiple times. As long as u only do em for 2 weeks or less then it’s a breeze. But ya if you spend years on them then it’s tougher.
@al69420 yeah I shouldn't have been on them or for as long from 22 just before 25 16mg cut down to 2mg every two days was a nightmare.. weeks in still felt like shit but 3 years every day I got pissed at doctor told him if I new withdrawal would be so bad I wouldn't have touched them. Personally I'd have done pill withdrawal edible cannabis few valium worst 2 nights went on naltraxon so couldn't relapse suboxone bupe withdrawal because long half life 3 weeks in your still ruff it's crazy .. I shouldn't have went to doctors waa young new gf moved into flat she got pregnant thought I can touch pain killer's round my kid and I didn't but thst suboxone but wanted off that but it's not easy.. unless your going to die fentynl or H using iv both then suboxone anything else don't stay on suboxone for long uk clinics want you on them for long time

To anyone struggling with kratom, if you can slowly taper down to 4 grams or less per day, you’ll be able to jump off with minimal withdrawals. If you can get gabapentin, take 600mg twice per day when you quit. It’ll be a breeze as long as you taper. Lower your dose by 0.25g or 0.5g per day. I’ve done it many times. It’s not even close to how fentanyl or heroin withdrawals feel, but it has a weird depressing mental side that is stronger to deal with than normal opiates (this is due to kratom’s alkaloids that act on the serotonin/adrenal system in the brain that traditional opioids don’t act on). You can do it !!
I’ve found that loperamide (a very mild partial opioid agonist sold OTC as diarrhea medicine) alleviates symptoms as well. Just don’t take (significantly) more than normal dosage because it can be dangerous in high levels.
The dude that did the documentary on Kratom is Christopher Bell. His Kratom doc is ‘A Leaf of Faith’ never seen it. His steroids doc is ‘Bigger Stronger Faster’ have seen it, it’s great.

@@BrendanCooney it's a crappy crowder reference. Rodecaster is great! I don't like the atem for a purchase right now because they max at 1080p, I think I'd rather deal with syncing in post and maximize camera quality
Or even link a stream deck for like $200, I'm almost positive there's a way to link the rodecaster and the stream deck, saves $900 and becomes a click of a button and could double for editing. Unless you have one already. Love the show man !
So after listening to the whole episode i think he is a rational guy, had some good takes but is greatly misinformed about a lot. The thing to take away from this episode is, like he said, if you have an addictive personality do not take kratom. I went down the same path as him, was introduced to opiates from an injury, got hooked, got off, saw kratom being promoted as some miracle drug thats all natural and jumped in unnecessarily. It's great for people getting off harder drugs as you can't die from it (any kratom reported death was not solely caused by kratom, they either had other health issues or other drugs in their system) and if you are chronically taking opiates for pain kratom can be an alternative, although not as effective. Its currently the "wild wild west" for kratom in the states and in the coming years we will see much stricter regulations of it as more information comes out. Lastly, kava has nothing to do with kratom and is non-habit forming and xanax is not a beta blocker. Those were the funniest of the misinformation that I'll address.
I was up to 500 caps of kratom a week and my tolerance wasn’t stopping. Once I got off the kratom. I was told the subs would stop the major cravings I was having. 1 sub strip a day> 500 Caps plus a week. I’m just telling my story. My path may not be yours
@@ChristianZcomedy damn I feel ya there though when I found kratom I was taking like 10 or 15 caps a day. My stomach was full cause of them haha but I found kratom years after I was in a suboxone program and I can say I was way more fucked up everyday taking 6 or 8mg of subvoxone a day and stopping them was worse than wd from fent or h! There's a way to use kratom without getting fucked up though. I've had IBS and shitty shits my whole life and a gram every 3 or 4 days keeps my digestion all regular and stuff.

This guy gateway drug was heroin most people first substance is weed then they might experiment with other things this guy went straight to injecting heroin first drug he tried then got hooked on kratom getting thinking 🤔 this will help heroin withdrawal but that became a bad addiction then he had to go on suboxone to get off kratom and suboxone withdrawal a month later your still in withdrawal stay away from all that shit but heroin withdrawal after a week your feeling better your past the worst with suboxone withdrawal a week in your still in hell

I’m going to say that he has to have one of the worst takes on Kratom. First off, suboxen? You can’t be serious. Dude would basically go to a methadone clinic to get off Kratom ? Secondly no one I know ever takes 20 caps per serving? That is way too much. I am hoping he is messing up and meaning to say 20 caps a day.
Also I got off kratom on my own than took clonadine and other stuff for withdrawals once I weened down. Than after I was clean while in a program a doctor recommended suboxone so I wouldn’t relapse as I had done so 3 times. This helped with my cravings and I took one strip a day.
