Don't like saying this plukky but tha looks like shit its only a bit of man flu man up LOL But seriously tha needs to take care of thisen or we have nothing to look forward to if owt happens to thee I can almost taste the pineapples, Oh by the way are you going to have a competition to find a name for your boat when its ready. Keep it coming Top Stuff and all that
Plukky, I've worked OS in Indonesia and can honestly say that factory and the crew are 💯 % spot on. Everyone are experienced, the factory is clean and tidy, the work ethics are to a high standard. Puts a lot of other places to shame.
I hope you get to the bottom of what your health issues are... You need to be in top shape for your sailing around the world... We don't need you pulling a Magellan and missing out on the last leg 😮
Get well soon. Maybe you had dengue. I had that in Singapore and what you said is how I experienced it. Although the fever was a few days. Just take a very good rest. Tropical temperatures and fever don’t mix. Make sure you drink lots of (Luke warm) water.
Boat is strarting to take shape very nicely. 🎉. I think you were having sailing withdrawals, better get back on the water even if its only on a surfboard.😊
Well hope you got better ASAP Peter and was able to continue yourself experiencing the boat building at its finest. Wow there is sure a lot of frame work involved when building a boat I mean wow a lot. Didn't see the Dagger boards put in maybe next video.
The dagger boards look good. Now I'm wondering if the exterior bracing stays on the dagger board cases. Maybe you ate something bad. Try switching up where you get your food.
Plucky, Man, You did not look very well in the last few minutes of this video. I hope you are taking better care of yourself and are on the mend by now.
Peter , I think it’s worth investigating if they could cut a stem from solid with rebates for the hull plates. I don’t know the finances but it would save loads of time and be strong as buggery😊
Plukky get well fast. keep hydrated by bottled water only. Don’t take the doctors advice about resting too lightly. You obviously have had some kind of virus, or food poisoning. Probably relying upon the ‘mom & pop’ street carts food=(mystery meals)=too often. Get well soon Plukky👍👍👍👍👍
It is looking good Plucky. I wonder why they do not use the welders helmets that change from clear view too to full protection from arc flash soon as you start welding. Forget the exact name of them but l do know they are made by 3M products. Make welding a lot easier,
Wow glad your ok you look terrible :) the boat is looking amazing the strength around the bow is incredible like an ice breaker. Should withstand even the stubbonest coral!!!! Those boys are loving that they are working on such a unique and personal project and the fact that you recognise them. After all the challenges you have been through its great to see this project come alive. I cannot afford to patreon you at the moment but I am hanging out for new videos all the time. Love your work !!!!! Get well soon!!!
Love watching these guys do their work. How fortunate to have such a crack crew building a dream for you. Sleep now Plukky, dream on and dream big. Get well mate.
Hey Peter, I'm so sorry you've had a glitch in the space-time-continuum of the Matrix, however, your inner being is programmed to need, nutrition, (Not Just Food) "Nutrition", "Hydration" (including electrolyte) and sleep; "REST". Dang-it-boy, I know you from "Down-Under" but you ain't "fum-und-a". Don't you die on me, we all love you, appreciate you and are cheering for you, (from a safe distance, of course) we've come too bloody far, to go belly-up, now. Trim your jib, tighten the lines, straighten up and fly right. Cheers to ya Mate! 🤣🤣🤣🙃👍🙏
Stress anxiety fatigue think you need to find a spot to spear fish Peter and chill. Great work and support by the team great to see new boats on the drawing board and customers coming to visit great news for what looks a great well built product.
Massive headache as well? Sounds like dengue fever. I got it and a stomach parasite at the same time in Fiji in 2001 while competing in the Eco-Challenge. Thanks for the businessy info. I thought you were more affiliated with the company officially. They are just sponsors. Got it. 👍
Ive never watched a boat build but ok let's do this Hey Plucky cant wait to see you out there again sailing the seas with a list a mile long of ppl trying to crew her lol now you can pick and choose who crews her not just ok were taking all and everybody no no not this time my friend make sure its loaded with lights to illuminate the water good in those nice little places in paradise. I think that looks really cool at night but thats just one little thing of many your gonna have now not a boat thats been lighting struck and not really sail able anymore.
It’s so good that yourself, Odisea and your build are in such professional and caring hands. Speaks volume for Adonis and Ba Son Shipyard. Glad you’re back on your feet. Worried me for a while when you went radio silent on the Kickstarter WhatsApp group! Stay safe. Stay well and stay out of harms way! :o))
Hey Plucky I hope you feel better soon !!!!!!!Just glad you had a quick checkup and did not have to spend time in a strange Hospital where you dont speak or understand a strange language. But knowing and watching you for a long time you survived a lot !!!!!! Even some real hot lady Crew!!!!!! Get well soon so we can receive our regular Boatbuilding news. You look after yourself Mate!!!!! REgards from a cold Germany!!!!🤠👍👍👍👍
Cap'n Plukky, your bright green eyes are Yellow!! There is definitely something wrong. You look worse on this video than when you had COVID!! These men building this boat are wonderful! I'm so happy you have them looking out for you!! I'll be praying for you!! Get Well Soon. ✝️🙏❤️🇺🇸🇦🇺⛵️👣🍍😊
Hey guys I can give you a small tip on anchoring when bedding your anchor do it in stages hit the bottom let 5-10m out reverse until tight pull out slack with a little tension then pay out some more and pull tight again repeat a third time with desired final length and give a good tug. Also that 8mm chain is too small get 10mm min. Good luck ⛵🙂
Shy? we know someone not suffering from that.... I think I should have been a non-ferrous metal supplier - would have made some money. There's nothing wrong with you, and that from an Australian 🙂 Seriously though, take it easy mate.
Hope you're recovered by the time you read this. I'd like to do a profile on you, and particularly the build of the new boat, for Pacific Yachting Magazine. If you're interested, let me know.
Bone broth, chicken soup, electrolytes like in coconut water. Your body is missing sailing on the open ocean, plenty of sun, and bikinis swimming around haha. Recover quickly friend.
Ever noticed the hair kinda lays down when sick. You dont need a thermometer, just a mirror will do. Sticking out hair = fine. Laying down hair= rest time. You're still eating bush meat arent you. Savage 😂
Hope you get better Plukky. Make sure you are hydrating with real high potassium electrolytes. Maybe you should get checked for the clap if they only did blood work? Rest up.
Too bad those visitors were camera shy, this is where the action in happening! Man, the more I watch these guys the more they seem like aluminum whisperers. Plucky you need to take better care of your self, we need you!
Top stuff, Plukky! Welding Aluminum is not easy, looks like your welders know their job. If I remember correctly Aluminum needs 6 months to "set" or harden after welding. Will you have to let the boat sit for awhile in the boatyard before launch, or is it ready to launch at once?
I've worked in a lot of ship yards and I've got to say this shop your boat is being built in is the cleanest and most organized shop I've seen in my 25 years of ship building .
I've been many time in Vietnam and something you did not mention it is easy to get visa, easy to rent a room or an appartement , cheap motobike for rent , good street food everywhere and most of the people are very friendly...much better then China ( much much..)
Get better soon mate. Totally agree with the engineer. Rest up and let your immune system do the rest. Those guys sound great. Great skills, dedication and workmanship.
Drink some coke eat some salty crisps or patato chips and have a nice chocolate bar, always make me feel better in our over 40C humid summer temps here on the east coast of south africa!
You gota hope that the xtra foot traffic in the work shop can shine some light on the Elcano Challenge for sponsors. Oh yeah and stop being sick will ya
