Man I’ve been on a binge watching these. As a guy from the “hood” it’s amazing how much this has captivated me. Plus I love seeing them walk with their hooves repaired, makes me hope they are feeling better. Good job on this man

Just a suggestion. A small strong neodymium magnet would be ideal to check if there was any of that old nail still in the wound. Lots of those things can break off and even though you pulled it out you can't tell if you got it all by looking at what you removed. A small magnet would stick to the hoof. Then a large one could pull out the remainder of the nail with out the need to cut into the flesh causing more damage. I am sure some of these ulcers could have been cause by punctures that are no longer apparent. Checking them all with a magnet could help even if only 1 in a hundred had some type of nail or screw left deep inside. A quick magnet test over any problem area would not add to much time to the process and if it saved just one cow it would have been well worth the small investment.

This is why I try to pay such close attention to my dogs. You never know when an animal is in pain until they start limping or vocalizing pain. Poor cows can't tell you when they've stepped on a nail and they're just walking around suffering 😰

I love how you were so kind to the farmer. He wasn't sure of the issue and tried his best to care of it until he could fined someone more suitable. He did take the proper steps in animal management.

My grandfather was a farmer, and I always saw him as sort of a medic.
