Nearly 30 years later, another gun-related tragedy on the set of Alec Baldwin's movie Rust served as a stark reminder that ensuring safety on sets remains a pressing issue for the film industry to this day. It's a great movie and even the soundtrack is fantastic and went platinum. The movie was a huge hit. Even wrestler Sting adapted the crow look for his in ring character.

Great, nuanced coverage. I feel like Brandon would have turned out to be one of our biggest movie stars. To me his personality and style seems kind of a blend of Keanu, Jackie Chan and Tom Cruise. He was well primed for success, a talented martial artist who could actually act, and very interested in making entertainment the best it could be. He had that kindness and charisma that our most beloved stars tend to possess. A real loss.

RIP Brandon Lee🕊🕊🕊 i remember this and it was heartbreaking. He was on his way to be a big star like his father. It just so sad. And was going to get married soon also. It was a careless accident.

I think Brandon Lee would have become a very different actor than his father. He would have been his own kind. No comoarisson to anyone else.

I know it's become atypical to compare his career/death to Heath Ledger, especially since they both played dark roles before their left us, but I really believe that Brandon Lee would've made quite the career for himself with both 'pretty boy' roles if he wanted to, and 'darker' roles. Heath was already on that path before he died, while Brandon was seeking it with The Crow.

Knowing all the recorded real world actualities of the Crow tragedy, my only question has ever been: Where did Massee actually aim? Some say he was explicitly directed to aim off-body just as a final safety precaution, but was he following that direction? Make no mistake, I'm not suggesting a conspiracy. Brandon's abdominal wound itself was a generally "safe" place to be hit, and he would probably have survived if the bullet ended up a half inch in any other direction. I just wish we could know if Massee aimed straight at him, or if the circumstances of the 'fragment' shot it off at an angle.

Not gonna lie, this was a surprisingly great episode, guys! At first I wasn't deeply interested in this episode, 'cause I kinda've thought I knew everything when it comes to Brandon Lee's untimely death, but I was unaware of the parallels between he and his father Bruce Lee's own death during production for a movie. Very eerie stuff, but of course it's typical conspiracies. At the end of the day, it was a terrible preventable accident.

I live in Seattle and the cemetery where him and his father Bruce Lee are buried at is about an 8 minute drive away and I’ve been to his grave multiple times. It’s very Gothic like his character in the crow and it has a poem on the lower slab below the headstone I would definitely go to there again someday it’s worth visiting if you’re in Seattle

The original Death of game movie that Bruce Lee was developing was nothing like the movie that was made. So Bruce didn't put that scene of his character being shot.

To me there are no accidents. People make things happen, however done...negligence, carelessness, lack of safety concerns, overwork, fatigue etc.. If that gun had been checked, Brandon would still be alive today. When you think of all the movies made through time; westerns, crime dramas, gangs. It's unheard of where this incident happened. Even though no criminal charges were filed against any 1 person or persons; the fact still remains it was human error that took Brandon's life. In addition, he would never have the chance to marry his fiance Aliza Hutton. My heart goes out to her, as well as Brandon's family. The Crow is and always will be my #1 movie. Being a very spiritual person, I believe he is among us, and he will always be in my heart ♥ Rest In Peace Brother with Jesus and the Angels, until I pass from this life, and maybe I will see you in the next beautiful world of peace and serenity. 😢😇🙏

By all accounts Bruce was only difficult on set with those in charge ( producers) as he wanted to present martial arts in the best light possible. He got on very well with everyone else including the stunt crew. Even eating with then, instead of the higher ups, and ordering extra food on the set of ETD.

If there were more people involved in the gun checks prior to filming there would be no deaths.During filming Brandon wore a bullet proof very but for this particular scene he didn't have one .

brandon sayid this too. he didnt wanna take the role couse he didnt wanna do make out scene with the actress who played hes mom. it seemed akward to him to play a story where he kinda falls in love with hes mom. so clearly he didnt want to chris chan around.
