Marc, We are nre subscribers and just wanted to say thank you for all your research and hard work in putting together high quality videos with great information...thanks again!
Sorry Mark you must have a scorned X somewhere. Because anyone that would give a thumbs down on any of your videos has to be someone you really really pissed off. There is one thumbs down on every video I've seen so far and I'm knew to your channel. You really did her wrong. Lol!! Your videos are spot on in everything. Great work
LOL! You're too kind, but we can't win 'em all. Like the Quartzsite video, where a couple of folks thought we were trying to make a political statement (that we weren't). Or the guy who gave us a thumbs down because he didn't like the ads that RU-vid put showed with our videos, despite the fact that they were probably based on his own browsing history. Hey, it happens!
Good list. Lots of info to reference when we get back out on the road in the spring. We found your site just recently. You have lots of really well researched subject matter. We are also weekend warriors with about three years left to retirement. After that we plan to do more trips out to your part of the country. We've visited for a week here and there, but haven't had enough time to really explore. Thanks for sharing all of this information with us. Kim and Vinny in CT
Kim and Vinny, so happy that you found us! We're East Coast ex-pats ourselves -- I (Marc) grew up in Norwich, CT and spent most of my life living around the northeast, whereas Patricia is from Quebec City. Just let us know how we may help!
@@GrandAdventure That's pretty cool. You know the area around here. We're at the other side of the state in Southbury. We're looking at moving to North Carolina after retiring. Warmer weather and more affordable. We enjoy the quality of the videos and the great job you do on your presentation. Looking forward to catching up on the ones we haven't seen yet. Great video Mark! Very helpful. I would like to mention the Harvest Hosts club. I have had nothing but great experiences at the places I’ve stayed that are affiliated with this organization.
Great list - thanks for the ideas on a few I wasn't aware of! Another one I like when I'm booking sites in campgrounds and trying to figure out which site to select is www.campsitephotos.com. It could use more content so that more campgrounds are listed, and it doesn't help with dispersed (which we like best), but for the campgrounds it lists, it's another fantastic resource when you're trying to decide which site to book - especially when the campground has a lot of trees, making the sites difficult to see using Google Maps.
Hi Mark. I'd like to add an app from the folks at Technomadia. It's their US Public Lands app. Its great when your on the road and want to check if your on public land. It uses satellite signals to tells you where you are. Its available on both android and iPhone. I use it a lot when I'm just at the edge of forest and BLM lands. I don't want a knock on the door by the private land owner in the middle of the night!
Thanks for your feedback. We indeed encountered audio leveling issues on our earlier videos like this one, but our more current videos have audio that achieves a far better balance.
I travel about 6 months per year in my truck camper and use uscampgrounds.info/ extensively to find gov't (fed/state/etc) campgrounds. Has Canadian ones, too.
