Thanks plucky for introducing Bart. The project owes its life to him and the team whom he was kind enough to include in the video. There's a sense of anticipation building in me now. Theres light. On the trouble front i really dont think you could function if the shit wasn't just about to hit the fan or already had. Lookinf foreward to the glazed look in your eyes when the boat in hooning along at a comfortable 16 knots and dinner is about to be served. Sailing into freedom without drama or calamity will indeed be uncharted waters. Top stuff.

Peter , leave some room for some " You are here " signage around the boat so new crew don't get lost , you'll have so much room on this one 😄. She's coming together fast now , I know there's still heaps to do but she's almost a boat now capable of floating, that a big step forward.
I'd like to know what people you have on the yacht design that are good for trimaran design especially with regards to the torsion stresses of the Alma's! Plucky... the question that's eating me is what colour the boat will be??? Are you going to paint it bright Orange or Bright Blue? Maybe you could be different and go with BRIGHT Purple or even Pineapple Yellow? ? I look forward to seeing what colour you end up going with...
I think it's great you have someone organizing all the electronics going into the boat. Also the rigging etc.. Battery cells right now the MB30 and MB31 cells which each are testing at around 330ah per cell are cheap at $70. You could build several nice battery banks for under $5,000 US. That would be 64kw of batteries. 32KW per engine or 16kw per engine and 32kw for house bank. Since you can make them to whatever voltage you could even have 96VDC to provide better power to engines. I built my own and my whole solar system so I understand what it takes since I use 25-40kw every day.

I'm a dog and remember my younger days as a pup. Ya all the hugs and petting, mushy kisses. So good seeing a few pups can't go wrong before it was girls girls girls, now Pup up and join people..
Thank you Bart for watching over our Plukky. Plukky, be careful not to become attached to those pups. They grow up and lose that adorable puppy look way to soon, then all they are is a burden, crapping and peeing all over your new boat.
A bit off topic, but sailing into freedom may have some real meaning for some desperate people trying to find affordable living . Few can afford to buy a house these days in Canada and some may find it cheaper to fix up a sailboat and live on the hook on the great lakes. When September hits, start heading south for winter. I just happen to be 300 feet away from Lake Huron. The fresh water is still drinkable without treatment.
