Can't believe it's only episode 4 and I've already interviewed Will Harris, a man who I have admired from afar for many years and who, along with his employees at White Oak Pastures, is responsible for most of the nutrients I consume. Will is not only a cattleman, though. He’s also an artist, a master of the land, a healer and an especially fun person to hang out with. And since 1995, he has been transitioning his 6th generation family farm from an industrial model of agriculture to a regenerative model and in turn proving that even dying land can once again become vibrant and healthy. Today, White Oak Pastures is an incredible ecosystem of healthy soil and happy livestock. And I'm thankful to not only be fueled by this farm but also for the opportunity to bear witness to such an incredible work of art. We also talked land ownership, defunding the police, identity, etc.
