Yes - keep doing ALL the things! When I'm watching SAKFAB, I may be knitting, or at my sewing machine, or trying some crochet or embroidery. It's all great, and great fun!
Inspiration of all kinds flows from your home to all over the world, so please share anything you're getting up to. It's all about the magic of creativity and exploration. You are opening our hearts and minds. Grateful for both of you being my companions as I discover new joys in creating. Hugs from Canada.
Hi guys, this is me having my say.......show us, your viewers, anything you want to show us, all your projects, tell us all your stories, I know that i enjoy watching no matter what you are showing and telling us! Keep up the good work xx❤
Your discussion about languages and dialects was riveting! I grew up in the U.S., where we assume that Norwegian and Swedish (and maybe Danish) are mutually intelligible, but this discussion shows that, just as in every other aspect of human life, it gets complicated. And when it gets complicated, human emotions get involved. I was very moved by Arne's comment that he feels so stupid when he has to juggle dialects in various regions. Stupid??? How brilliant is it that you can adjust your speech to regional differences? I'm so impressed by your language skills, both of you!
I always enjoy all your crafts. Cooking is a treat with you guys. Please show us anything you want to share. The algorithm is wrong. You are both so wonderful to visit with and anything you share is awesome. ❤❤
I especially like the cooking videos because you guys are hysterical in the kitchen together. I watch every craft you engage in and truly enjoy all your content. 😂
I do definitely knit socks or crochet my fingering granny stripe blanket while watching sit and knit. Wouldn't have it any other way. It's such a great pleasure watching two extremely talented gentlemen honing in on the craft for all of us to enjoy. I thank you ever so kindly to or this podcast. 😮❤
I always knit when I listen to you. This evening I am doing a second version of a sweater for a very tiny dog. Nice to knit along with you! Editing to say that as a knitter, I love seeing other kinds of needle and textile work. Everything can be absorbed and can be enriching. You do you!
You steek and are scared of a seam ripper? I have a seam ripper and am scared of steeking! Crazy! I love seeing everything you present. Razzle dazzle us with a multitude of your loves! Enjoy your cruise and I am looking forward to hearing your stories! Cruise,fun....packing,ugh!
Yes! We need to see the ladder and the cushions, and now the new suits. I’m sorry that the algorithm overlord doesn’t want you to show the full diversity of your talents. I love to see all your knitting, stitching, thrifting, and gardening.
I love it when you include history! There is an area here in Maine where residents still speak a unique form of Old Swedish that has not changed very much since their ancestors arrived beginning in the 1870's.
saw you both today- March 18th 2024 - love your Embroidery with flowers! Arne! And more you do! I used to do knitting but have forgotten But you do a lot of design! Love to see you do shirts, too! Love you guys! And always come new ideas! Sandi Myer at Florida!
Always fun to see and hear you! Sometimes I knit or crochet and sometimes I listen while I cut fabric or sew a quilt! I'm interested in anything you show! and.. I'm ALL about COLOR!!! Keep the fun coming! Love ya! 🥰
Stay true to what you love showing us - it’s all great. Walking Hadrians Wall, the thrift shopping, the gardening, it’s all great. Every aspect of your talents with textiles and design - makes your channel awesome! I really enjoy it all. Learned of you through Kate a few years ago. Looking forward to the cruise videos with her, too. Thank you for sharing it all!
love seeing everything, not just knitting, that would get boring, you 2 are definitely not boring, that's why you are so popular! so yes, keep it interesting with all the crafts & gardening/outdoors too! love variety! thanx for sharing
I am drinking tea while knitting a Musselburgh hat - my first ever. Enjoyed the episode as always. Thanks for your continued dedication to this podcast.
I, too, want to see everything! The dolls, doll house, the crochet, the home decorating, knitting, the garden, the skiing, the renovations and the progression of change from when you first moved in...If the "algorithm" dictates or restricts what you share, then the loss is ours. Toss the algorithm!
EVERYTHING ❤️ I think so many of us have more than one hobby, and it’s fun to see what you are doing. I switch it up too. Variety lets us learn new things, and gives inspiration. Keep it up!
I like to see everything y’all do. I like to do nothing but watch you guys ! I do so much during the day I need some down time! You guys make me laugh!! Thanks!!
I agree about your channel. Whenever I read comments, they are very kind, and I think they follow the lead of the two of you. You have very positive attitudes.
I love listening to all that is going on with you. I sit here working on my projects and I have you to keep me company like friends hanging out together chatting about whatever is on our mind. Don’t change a thing.
The story of the dress is fascinating! I’d love to see the dress and hear a detailed story and demonstration of how you made it. You guys make my life so much fun. Thanks you! 😊
Arne don't feel stupid. Languages open the world to us. The more you understand, the greater our understanding of cultures/differences/the world❤. It is amazing that you can do it. Must say your channel and Kates last homely house, are my feel good channels. Be safe.❤
Arne, my jaw dropped when you effortlessly said "embellishment" !! WOW!!!❤ Your English of yesteryears is a mere shadow now...one of the herculean efforts you have given for our sakes! Thank you!! Algorithms are ignorant of the concept of being multi-talented. I love hearing about everything you do and create, from bug houses to fabric to knitting creative communities! RU-vid execs should drop in for a month!
I'm always knitting a project while watching your podcast. You provide entertainment and I've learned so much about your country and you have introduced me to the Last Homely House among others. Thanks for everything you do!
I love watching your videos. I really enjoy all your projects, knitting, crocheting, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Your visits to thrfit shops, yarn shops and your cruise trips. It's all very interesting and fun. ❤😊
I enjoy all your crafts and your thought processes in achieving them. I am also fascinated by language, so love it when you talk about the differences and similarities between the Scandinavian languages and dialects. As for your archive, a video showing what you have and the stories behind them would go down very well too.
I love to see whatever you're doing! Like many of us, you have many interests and you discover new ones as life happens. I enjoy seeing how your interests and skills evolve as it's happening. That's real life! Please share whatever you want to. Carlos, have you considered sharing some of your heritage's traditional crafts, etc? I love seeing the things that make up your adopted home's history but Swedish and Spanish might be interesting too.
😍love the variety of things that you talk about... dialects, travels, shows, dolls, dollhouses, garden, shopping, knit, paper piecing, cooking, everything...I finished knitting a hat for Seaman's Church Institute : Christmas as Sea project while watching this. 🤠
I enjoy your discussions of all the crafts and hobbies. Even though I might not do all of them, it is interesting to understand more about other crafts. Thank you for your podcasts. I am a 76 year old grandma, knitter from Wisconsin. We have a fair amount of people from Scandinavia in our state. I often knit during your podcasts, or sometimes wash the dishes.
I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts even though i am not a knitter. I love to see all the sewing ,crafting, decorating, thrifting, and garden ing. I am an American who has been living in Québec Canada with my husband and now grown children for 34 years. I speak french so i found your discussion about language and dialect and regional differences very interesting. Thank you for all you do.😊
Love seeing all that you both do crochet/knitting/sewing/painting/ gardening/ doll house/journaling / cooking/ baking/embroidery/ thrift shops/Freja all you share with us oh books too
I absolutely loved this podcast! I learned so much about languages and the creative process! I would watch any video and every video you guys make. I would watch any hobbies you guys do. I would love to see the dress Carlos referred to. And altering clothes is something I have always wanted to learn. Keep it up and post anything you feel like and I would bet that everyone would watch. If you every want to talk about dress making and making a muslin, that would be fabulous. That is why I knit so I can make things that fit me not some ideal person
I love listening to you and all your projects. I also have many projects. I vote for seeing Quilting, knitting, design and all the other projects you are doing. Variety makes life more interesting. I am finishing a project, a knitted shawl for my daughter's birthday while I watch sit and knit for a bit. :)
I too have a lot of hobbies, so I love everything you guys do. So interesting hearing about the many languages and dialects that you both speak. Always a treat to watch you both!
Absolutely loved the language lesson so fascinating! Love you guys and all your interests. I believe many people are interested in a number of hobbies and crafts
I like the variety you give us. Looking forward to learning more from you. You two are so creative and inspiring please continue don't pay attention to the algorithm
I mostly knit, crochet a little and do some counted cross stitch but I love seeing EVERYTHING you do. Even though I don’t sew there is so much inspiration in what you do; so show it ALL! Gardening, building, cooking, sewing, knitting and just all things Arne & Carlos, please! Also, I’d love to see the dress you described as well as the Dolly Pardon inspired corset and skirt.
I love seeing and learning about all the multi-crafts you are working on. I too have multiple hobbies and crafty interests. That’s what keeps us happy.
I also want to see all you're doing! I get inspired by you and would love to go on one of your cruises. I'm sure it was great fun to have Kate join you. She's so much fun!
The reason I love watching your channel is because you do so many different things. I like to do almost all of those things myself. It's like finding a friend to play with by thrift shopping and crafting so many different things in so many ways. Seeing the progress on your home and gardens, or seeing the treasures you bring back from your travels, or up cycling doilies for quilts, or making doll house furniture or doll clothes. All this is very fun to see what you come up with. I watched you make scrapbooks out of different beautiful paper. We took the tour of the different rooms in your home, including a doll house tour. We watched you put sequence on the birds you knitted, this isn't actually knitting either. We, your audience, are watching 'Arne and Carlos' and all that you do. I don't understand how the algorithm determines that isn't what your channel is about. It's the MAIN thing your channel IS about - all the stuff you do. Your channel works well as it is, so I hope you can keep the algorithm happy. Plus the amazing trips you've taken with us, to share Norwegian history and other information about Norway - I absolutely love it! Please don't stop. This is my heritage, my nationality, and you've taught me so much I would never have know any other way. Thank you!
Thanks for the interesting language discussion. We are “word students” in our house; we love languages. My husband is studying old Norse and we watch a lot of Nordic noir TV. What surprises me is that I’ll be happily listening to Icelandish and reading the subtitles when a Danish ship lands and the spoken language is effortless English, their common language. It surprises me because I’d have thought they’d be able to speak to each other on one or the other Nordic language. And the Danish close to the German border! I can hear the difference. It is so interesting to think of the influences. And “kids”! I’m fluent in French and when I hear things like “le football” (which isn’t football, it’s soccer) and “le French fry” I am really struck at how infiltration works. Carlos, you are an amazing and gifted polyglot. I should have mentioned that to you years ago. You have a gift for language. I would avoid using words like “schlep,” though. It’s too - hmmm- consciously fluent. You two are wonderful, thank you.
I am a knitter and not a quilter. Sooo, love to look at quilts but really love your knitwear guidance very much! ❤ love the cooking!!!! you guys make me smile and laugh too! Tusen Takk!
I am always knitting and having my coffee while watching, which I am imagining many of us are doing! I LOVE all your topics and it makes my day to see the notice of a new episode. Thank you Arne and Carlos for putting together such a wonderful community!
Thanks so much for another great SAKFAB! I knit and crochet; currently trying my hand at amigurumi. I absolutely love watching anything that you do; absolutely all of it. Love the chats about all of the interesting topics.
I’m mesmerized about your discussion on your different dialects. When I visited some friends in Germany years ago, they tried to explain to me their father’s dialect was more “low German.” He would need to change his dialect when speaking to his children. Also, they lived in Ostfriesland, & I met a friend of theirs who could speak the “Frisian” dialect. To Americans it can be mind blowing.
Hi guys…. Love your show, and LOVE to see ALL the things you do. I also have a lot of interests, and enjoy watching all you have to share with us. Mostly, since I’m a “Norwegian American”, spending time with you makes me feel, close to family that have left this earth! I’m grateful for all you do. Safe travel. I look forward to joining one of your cruise trips.
I love SAKFAB! You two are so much fun and are so entertaining. Bon Voyage! I’m working on one more winter sweater before the weather gets warmer and I shift to socks, hats, and mittens.
Please keep showing us all the things. I came for the knitting and have been inspired to finish a tricky cross stitch project, make up little knitted toy accessories and just now started an Agnes Quilted Cushion from Kate!! Love hearing about your adventures and your life in Norway!
Hi guys. Can hardly wait until the crochet table cloth pattern have fun on the trip with Kate I follow her to well will catch you next time love the embroidery
I’m interested in everything you guys do….and since I’ve been trying to learn Swedish for over 50 years I’m fascinated by your description of the different accents and regional dialects among the countries. So bring it all on! I’ve never been bored by anything you have discussed or shown us. And……I want to see that ladder!
What a super episode. So interesting re the language discussion. 😊It makes so much sense that Norse would form the basis of English. 🏴 Arne, you're such an inspiration. It's so important to hold on tightly to the roots from whence one hails. Your values are exemplary and the conversation so fascinating. I would love A &C to continue to offer an eclectic smorgasbord of creative brilliance. What you have been sharing is as good as it gets. Thanks guys. ❤❤
I would love a tutorial on making a man's shirt! During Covid you did some sewing projects. It was cozy and inviting when you set up your work in your living room/sewing area. Watching you lay out the pattern, cut and move through the process. If this is not possible I will love updates on seeing the shirt you make off air. Your home is inviting and inspiring and it is fun to watch you cook and sew in your own place. I also enjoyed your reviewing your books which you did a few times during Covid. Your cruise journeys are a wonderful way to bring people together. How nice, people sharing time together. Enjoy, Kim
I love watching precisely because you do love so many projects. Keep up the great work- you two are helping me through an extremely difficult time. Thank you!
Today I’m sitting at my quilt stretched out in the living room. The basting is near complete and soon the quilting starts. I love hand quilting and Arne and Carlos are great company.
