We visit my sister Nina's house in Lempaala once again. This time I give you a proper tour of her small house. We spend an evening at her place, with dinner and sauna and a lot of family banter. Baby annika had a swell time with my sister. And as you had seen in the previous episode, life in Finland can be very quiet. This episode will be very similar too. We go grocery shopping and to Tampere for my therapy appointment. I hope you enjoy this slow and silent vlog with my family.

I hope she will find the man of her dreams soon, someone who is mentally and emotionally compatible with her, not to mention is attractive too💕✨🙏 She deserves it. She's a beautiful person.

Motherhood is tough , particularly in the early years of the first child. Added to it, you have uprooted to a different country and culture far away from your own family and background. With your loving and supportive husband and in laws and your own family, it will get better. You will do fine. Try to remember this whenever you are feeling down. Enjoy the precious babyhood of Annika. Your videos are delightful. Thanks for sharing.

Your sister will get the right man at the right time. No need to set any time limit for it. A happy marriage is what is most important, like you have. Your in laws have stood strong by you, going against their Haryana culture and foregone of their natural expectations. If only you had seen the truth, you would have realised the strong support system they provide to you. Both your mother and sister are sweet. Hope you all live a good life.

Dear Johanna, TY! U look wonderful; everybody does. So happy u r with ur family. Vinod, bless his soul, despite the coldness & early Winter darkness of Finland 🇫🇮 looks happy + his sense of humor is shinning. Cracked me up on arrival at the airport (on the lift) when he said " u can't trust these Finns" 😊 Appreciate u showing us towns near u, the 🛒 markets, which are small but seem 2 have great variety, something we do not hv outside of Lisbon, 🇵🇹 (just barely enuff) and only in bigger cities. Finn weather 🏘 & shops remind me of the Northern Lakes, USA, where I found some 🇫🇮 - 🇺🇸 heritage in Wisconsin & Minneapolis area; frigid cold there as well. Ur prices 4 🍼 food seem equal 2 US prices, but it is absurdly expensive in Scandinavia, just not sure if 🇫🇮 is as expensive as 🇳🇴. Your mom is a sweet, dear women, bless her soul. Very sorry she lost a husband and u lost a daddy 😔 so young. Lost mine @ 25yrs old and never got over it. Annika is glowing & totally besotted with ur sister. In her little mind she now has 2 mommies, u 2 look so similar. 😲& her bathroom! OMG what I would give 2 hv a sauna here! Hope u find her a good husband, but if u run into problems send her to 🇵🇹 where she will find one in a jiffy; this despite the perpetual shortage of available men here! 🙄. Stay warm, healthy and happy. Xoxo. 🙏🤗

Yes a lot of Finns immigrated to that area in the US! Even these days i think they have lots of Finnish names and even schools there for example. Finland isn’t as expensive as Norway, but it is really expensive here… i might vlog about this later!

@@JohannaNorth Yes, I was so surprised when I got there and saw it... really interesting, and it feels quite European there, compared to the rest of the 🇺🇸. As for 🇫🇮 being expensive, well, that is the price one pays for living in a modern 1st world country services, for nothing comes for free. As long as people earn salaries high enough to give them a chance to live well, the problem is when things are outrageously expensive and citizens on avarage get minimal wages, like here in 🇵🇹. Thankfully I retired quite early, and I live comfortably, but so many of my citizens don't. Stay well and warm. Xoxo

Oh dear Johanna, love your Finnish series. I see a whole new Johanna in front of us with positive vibes. I see you being relaxed in your hometown with your sibling and mother. I guess, when Vinod admitted he is proud of you because he finally understands the plight of being away from your homeland, relatives, cuisine and everything else. He can finally relate to it all in the first place. Nothing is for granted. I can only imagine how struggling and demanding it could be to live in a country where you can only understand a few words of the local language, socio-economic and cultural mindset... I am sorry that psychiatrist couldn't meet with your expectations. Next time. By the way, Annika is visibly fond of her aunt Nina. You can read that from her facial expressions. Nina knows pretty well how to interact with a toddler. Your sister and you look alike. I sometimes, find hard to identify between you two. In addition, Nina has got a beautiful and cozy house. She can be proud of herself for her achievements by far. Again, your Mother speaking in English to Vinod was cool. I can see she is over the moon with you guys presence in her home. Well, take care of one another and stay blessed and safe.

So you mean to say Johanna is living in India forcefully against her wishes. Vinod,s appreciation is part of the Indian values and off course this is his in laws family. This is the Indian values of appreciation others. It’s quite obvious for Johanna to feel comfortable with the family she born in.

@asmirann3636 2 года назад
@@dharmvirsingh4031 This is the problem with Indian values. It tries to accommodate others. Other countries and religions do not share such values. They push their own values on to others. So what you are saying is basically a weakness of Indian value system which lets in everybody. The world behaves far differently, it crushes such weakness and in its place put their own values whether you like it or not. So Vinod or his family being kind and accomodating is the problem. They should just push their mentality on to others. This is how the Nordic culture is and this kind of forcing your culture onto others is what they understand.

I absolutely loved the bit where all the girls of the family sing Finnish jingle bells together 🤩🤩, Annika loves to interact with her aunt so much.. I had cinnamon buns in Sweden and I loved them. Thankfully we get some kind of cinnamon buns here in CZ as well, slightly different than the ones from Sweden. By the way, my husband was in Tampere for Plant physiology conference in 2008 (probably you were still studying then :-)) and he loved the industrial architecture of the city. I still remember his travel to Tampere because it was during Beijing Olympics and I sat in Brno and watched it all by myself. Brno like Tampere is historically an industrial town with lots of heavy industry and some the old buildings are now restored. Very nice vlog Johanna. 🙂 I am happy to see Vinod and Annika all comfortable in there. Added later, I wanted to add this but somehow missed the first time: And of course they should be proud of you because you have achieved the unthinkable. You found a guy from a different country and culture, you left behind all you had made for yourself in Finland, took risk to see if you will make a life in India with the man you felt like the one for you. You lived in India fighting all odds just to enjoy the life with the man you love. You have integrated better than anyone I know of. Hats off to you Johanna. It is an achievement to be proud about.

I’ve had something similar to cinnamon buns in India too, but i must say they’re nothing like the real deal 😄 i think in India you might get those in german bakeries, but Finnish and Swedish ones are nordic and not like the german. 😬 so great to hear your hubby loved my Tampere! This region has a long industrial history, and is a workers’ area more than the ’elite’s’. I’d love to visit the CZ one day as i think ive told you! My hubby and also mom have loved it. Too bad that we only have time for Finland this time And thank you so much for the added later 🤍

There is an unbelievable lightness that exists in Indian people which I have not found anywhere else in the world. I am a Canadian married to an Indian and living in India. I think rather than looking for a psychiatrist to easy worry or uncertainties which you seem to be having struggles with, while in india or even in Finland learn from Indians around you like Vinod and your in-laws. They are always light, peaceful, happy and your commentary in many videos shows that you do not share in this underlying joy which is natural for them and rather you tend to talk with a continuous negative and sometimes selfish perspective. Personally I struggled living in India at first and then I just let go of most of my western judgements and perspectives and life just opened up to me. This is just my observation from the few videos I have seen. All the best ❤️

It’s also true with the pandemic worldwide socializing in Kerala or India has been drastically curtailed thus adding to the stress. Knowing your neighbors in Kerala, interacting with them, learning Malalayalam could have all worked out in normal times. With the Pandemic there has been a marked increase in mental health issues. Demand for psychological services have skyrocketed. Waiting times and costs have gone up. So you are left with poor choices when seeking help. If you are getting someone to see you within a month you are likely going to end up with a lousy therapist. Anyway trial and error is not a bad thing. The loving Finnish family and a bubbly sister will offer far greater returns in addressing some issues as will the stay with a loving family during the holidays. Good luck and enjoy. Nice vlogs on Finnish life.

The Lord will send you the strength you will need for everything since He has chosen you to be a mother. You have all you need within you. I can see it. Just don't stress and take each day in your stride. Few women can make the adjustments you have so March on bravely. Enjoy each day because Annika will be all grown up before you knew it and you will always look back on this particular time of 1-5 years and wish you can turn back the clock.

Thank you so much for such a supportive comment ❤️ i have to say i much rather take a good long sleep than get used to this sleep deprivation 😅 Annika is starting to sleep a bit better though! So hopefully in sometime i get more rest too and will feel better about everything

Ah another beautiful video, little Annika seems to be enjoying all the attention and fun, I loved how you all sang jingle Bella to her, that's what we do here too. Vinod seems not as shy 😊 and it's lovely to see him blending into his Finnish family, Your Mom and sister are so happy that you're all there, their love for you all shines through in your videos, sometime in the future maybe you'll upload a travel tips for Finland video, I would love some inside travel advice. Johanna becoming a Mother is a huge event and you did so with mine of your own family around you, every girl needs her Mom close to help guide her through becoming a Mother. I know you're blessed to have such good in laws, but you were far away from your motherland, so you had a lot of change in your life, then Annika arrived and no matter how much we love our babies, the transition from being you to becoming a Mama is huge, so. It's OK not to feel OK sometimes, you're doing a, great job, and Annika clearly adores you 😊, be proud of yourself Johanna, my heart did a flip when I saw Annikas face light up with pure delight when you all sang to her, Annika is a very happy baby and that's all that matters. Looking forward to your next upload 😊😊

@@JohannaNorth oh I love seeing you with your family, I just meant sometime in the future, maybe when you're back in India you might make a, travel advice video about Finland. I understand because I was once a, new Mother too, and I've seen many many of not most new mothers have their struggles, slepp deprivation doesn't help, so take naps when you can. 😊

@X 10 Yeah, May be....but I don't like Cold at all. Though from Kerala, I have lived in North India for long. In December and January, it's freezing cold in North India, which I just hate.

@@ssam3826 yes everyone has different preferences for weather :) I like snow and don't mind the cold (not all the time, but a few months per year are nice) and I also like dry warm temperatures of 30°C or above. But humidity absolutely kills me 🤷🏻 :)

I loved your mom's house more. Bit biased here. It has a touch of old school to it. Lots of motherly vibe, love is spread around. It's small but it's something special. The minute I saw her home in your video, I fell in love. This is how I want it for me and my wife. Give my regards, its a lovely home. No offense to your sisters house...its nice , modern and functional. I prefer your mom's house. Annika I believe is enjoying everywhere, except outside.

I know RU-vid videos can portray a much happier person than in reality…but remember, you have opportunities that many people would kill to have, you have a beautiful family on all sides and your inner family of you three, there is so much love and that shows. You get to live in a country I would LOVE to live in, India is my dream place and you can visit Europe which is my second dream place! Your blessed hon, motherhood is never easy but it’s always rewarding. Stay strong, you don’t need a therapist to remind you of your purpose or give you tools to be happier, just look within and around you and soak in the life you have because time flys away from us fast.
