In this episode we try our luck at McGregor Lake. The weather hasn't been cooperating lately with lots of wind and poor weather and this day was no exception. We caught a few small ones, but still had a great day on the water.

I really enjoy your father son videos. Nice to see a dad passing on his skills and knowledge. Aswell as sharing time and the passion of fishing together. I just recently bought the same kayak and am interested in doing some of the same type of fishing in BC. Being a stranger to fishing altogether, could you do a walk thru of your fishing setups. Particularly what jigs, lures, bait etc you use for certain fish. Thanks very much, keep pumping out the good videos!

Lots of great things to say about this video. I loved the comfort you guys had to dance and sing lol. One of the reasons I usually only take 2 or 3 rods max is because I was always getting myself hung up in the weeds and brush if I had more. Nice use of the weeds to anchor near Kieran. Really enjoyed the underwater recon. I couldn't agree more that Kayaks get you to incredible places that boats can't and you can usually get it done completely unnoticed by the fish.

Cool... I normally go ice fishing for white fish there. If you guys ever decide to do some ice fishing i could show you a few spots. If you go in the summer i would definitely recommend trying out those weed beds all the way down the side of the shore, i have even seen people catch some pretty big pike from the shore casting towards those weed banks. Anyways, thanks for the video. CHEERS!

You need to recreate that dance in a newer vid :) Had to lookup Burbot, never heard of them before. Another nice video and I like the scorecards you have at the end, looks like Dad is up 2-1 at this point!

Thanks very much, yes we had a little contest going back at the beginning. Turned into a three day father/son tournament in Season two. I recommend those if you haven't seen them yet. Episodes 39, 40 and 41

Kevin, we anchor quite a lot on windy days. Allows us to control our cast a bit better.

Not sure, they are stable enough but I think you would need a skirt to keep water from getting inside the kayak from waves or when entering or exiting the surf. I don't think I would use them in the ocean without a water tight skirt. If the water was very calm no problem, but a sea kayak is likely a better choice.
