I had some of those vintage crystal ball earrings in high school. Love the sea horses and taxidermy room (I'm a retired zoologist), and have lived most of my life on the western Pacific Coast.
Hi Kid, it's me again, loved these sales. Those embroidered linens are so great, I think that guy must have been sniffing glue to sell them so cheap, & the sea. Horses terrific!! Would also look good mounted in abalone shells, just a thought. Had fun, as always!!!
Merci beaucoup !!! 😊😊 Karen fait la plupart du dépoussiérage et du nettoyage, c'est pourquoi elle aime tant les vaisseliers et les cloches en verre, parce qu'ils gardent la poussière sur les objets. 😅
Love all our fines. The way u display your seahores love it.If i could suggest one thing put a dome over your seahores. Trying to dust them could be damaging.
Another great episode! My Mom always loved sea horses, and I love them too, but mine are gold jewellery - don’t know what I’d do with the taxidermy ones! Great linens too - I have lots of those too, but rarely get them out because they take an age to iron! On to the next!❤️
O my goodness I also purchased some tiny seahorses at a sale I love them so much. i put mine on pearl hat pins and put them in a glass dome. yours are so much bigger i just love them ! Thank you for the tour :) Anytime I get to see your beautiful home is a damn good day :)
Hey guys I’m Ukrainian your fellow picker from Windsor Ontario thanks for sharing the hoard is real. I will be 70 getting tired of stuff lol need gone loads of stuff I have collected time to relax lol
The vintage pillow cases, sheets and towels really made me smile!! I have a few from my great aunt and grandma. They are the softest material ever! Impossible to find new ones that feels like them.
I had some of those crystal earrings, and one of the dingle balls fell off, and I had no clue where 😢. This may be morbid and you can tell me "shut up Julie" but since you two don't have any children have you ever thought of who you would leave your magnificent home to once you both pass away? I have a wonderful idea if you haven't already thought of it and again you can tell me "shut up Julie" but I think you can leave it to your city or as I believe you refer to it as your province on the condition that they turn it into a museum! "BARON'S MUSEUM"
It is a nice thought, the city turning our home into a heritage museum for people to come see after we pass but I think that may simply be a grand illusion or a pipe dream. 😊
Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. But, if your relationship at home is anything like what we see in your videos, you’ve struck the jackpot 😊
We are best friends and soul mates and love spending time together, and we are terrible actors 😂 so yes the relationship we appear to have is real and genuine and as good as it seems. 😊😊
I had my best glass score last week finding promotional glass trays, occupied Japan, a dish from House of Representitives and old Asian cups/saucers. It was really nice and left most of it because I'm an idiot. Mmmm seahorse. Never has that phrase ever been uttered where I live.
😂😅 Don't feel bad Henry I know exactly how you feel. A few episodes back I found a beautiful burl wood bowl that I left behind and I have thought about ever since. 🫤 DARN IT!!!!!!!!!!
Embroidery was so much more popular in the 50s & 60s. I had the bug when I was early teens.---I loved the local history insert...you could do more of that for me during the winter hiatus. And, the home tours are always appreciated.
Haha yes I know you are a sucker for local scenery and local history. 😅 Every time I insert something like that or make a small video in the park downtown etc (like the bell tower a winter or two ago) I always have in the back of my mind that 'Alana is going to love this'. 😂😊👍
$5. Was a real steal, I think, for all of those embroidered pieces. Nice! When I was a young girl, I loved watching live seahorses in fish tanks. I thought of them as “true” pets. Did a Karen use and like the “curl secret?” Barbara
@@kittyglitter8186 that was a good comment about the colored Canadian money. I do agree with them. I do live here in the US but find Canadian dollars easy to handle (shiny and strong) and color coded more or less. They don’t get dirty and wrinkled like our $ has a tendency to do.
