VLOG Part 1 of 3 of our weekend away.
This was my second trip to this cheeselovers paradise! The artisan cheese fair is an annual event held in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire and is the UK's largest cheese fair.
Taking place inside the cattle market, the fair also has other artisan produce such as the famous Melton Mowbray pork pie, chocolate, cakes/bakes/pies, coffee, cider/spirits, cheese boards, chutneys amoungst others.
There were also hot food stalls, a bar in bus and coffee stalls.
I was super happy to see by favourite Baron Bigod cheese from Fen Farm Dairy (fenfarmdairy.c...) there and got to try out some of their other products. The Truffled Baron is waiting patiently in the fridge soon to be devoured.
We were also introduced to some new producers with delicious produce such as the renegade monk from Felthams Farm (www.felthamsfa...) and the Cote Hill Blue from Cote Hill Farm (www.cotehill.c....
Melton Mowbray is famous for it's pork pie's so it was only fitting that we sample some of the local cuisine! After a short wander down Nottingham Street we found the Dickinson & Morris, Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe which makes hand raised pork pies on site only available in store. Check them out here:

We picked up a few to enjoy for the rest of the weekend. A great start to what would turn out to be a fab weekend!
