Thank you so much it is looking really good.I am very envious of your spacious workshop and especially of the brown leather sofa to be able to sit and contemplate.Stay safe Pete.

Thanks Pete, it’s great to be working on the E Type and I’ve been lucky with the workshop. Needed a fair bit of work and there’s a bit more to do yet. Used to be a milking parlour!

This video has now led me on to stripping the underseal and would love to see your end result as I have never seen this before

Thanks. I have the rest of that job still to do. Hoping to get the shell onto a roll over jig in the next few weeks so I’ll post how I get on.

Very pleased to have found your channel and thank you for taking the trouble to make the videos. They are very clear and detailed. I have just bought a Series 2 fhc as an abandoned project, so I shall be watching your videos with great interest. BTW I live near Derby and have relatives in Wellesbourne, so if you ever need an extra pair of hands let me know.

Thanks Richard, sounds like an exciting project. I’ve had to take some time off the E-Type as I’ve had my ‘68 S-Type to complete (I’ll be doing a video of that over the summer). Back on it now though so next video will be up soon. Wellesbourne isn’t too far away, thanks for the offer of help.

I fit's not too late you also need to clean the outer surfaces where the BIG washers go, especially on the end that is next to the diff. If you do not assembly is a nightmare.

Thanks, I'll check that out as it isn't too late yet.

Specialist?? Rip that thing apart, knock in a new race, and shim the pinion to zero cone height...enough w the scrapey scrapey

Hi Bruce, the car doesn't have much history and as I'm going to be shipping it around the world to my brother (who isn't hands-on) when it's done, there are certain jobs that I'd do on my own car that I'm going to get by a specialist. That improves the history and paperwork and of course hopefully ensures it runs perfectly. I enjoy a bit of sped-up scrapey scrapey, I find it quite satisfying to watch - I'll try to limit it though!

I am doing this very same job to remedy leaking output shaft seals. Really enjoyed your relaxed style, and look forward to more. Are you connected to Fosseway Performance by any chance?

Thanks for your kind comments Steve, good luck with your IRS! I’m not connected with Fosseway Performance. At Fosseway Classic Car Workshop I offer some storage but mostly restoration spaces for like-minded hands-on enthusiasts. I’ll be looking at some more of the other projects over the coming months, including another ‘67 E-Type FHC that was in the factory at the same time as the one I’m working on. The owner is a very interesting Jaguar person too.
