7:46 when you’ve made your indentations, you’ll find a lot more ease if you fold in the opposite direction than how you scored them. IE, fold away from the indent. Mountains become valleys. This is because you’ve stretched the top layer of paper more with the pressing of your score tool. It folds more gracefully if you were to fold the exact opposite from your demonstration. Additionally, you won’t have to finagle and move things around to make them match better if your creasing with the tool looks accurate. PS subscribed! Found you as a suggestion. ❤

Great idea and so pretty

Very interesting for the little envelopes but honestly what I was most interested in was the way to make the box! I am like you, I need to be able to see it. I moved all my ephemera into little three ring binders, put them on my bookcase, and I haven't opened them once since I did that. However, the box is a great idea to sit on my table when I'm working and then move back to the bookshelf when I'm done. And you could make all kinds of boxes for different supplies. Great ideas!

This is great, I plan to make one. I think I will cut tiny tabs at the top of the corner pieces and fold them over to glue them for extra strength.

OMGoodness ! What a great tutorial that Dawn The Book Vandal share on her channel. I can't wait to make one. Thank you for sharing !

I made a ton of these (without the decoration on the front). I didn’t make the accordion style gusset but cut out a 7” strip of lite wt. chipboard that is 1 3/4 wide. I scored them at 1/2” on each side On my file folder, I scored the bottom at its widest width (3/4”). Folded the chipboard on the scored lines and glued them to the inside of the edges of the file folder. They fit perfectly. If you have banker boxes, they fit just fine in those. And you are right that the prep time is extensive so it is a quite a long process. I also used art glitter glue, it grabs very quickly.

Love the idea and the finished product -- fantastic. I'm also visual and need quick access or I lose track. I don't have printer capabilities and may use a normal file folder with the sides trimmed down and the height lowered. And I think I may use fabric in a color that works well with the chosen paper to hinge it all, expecting it will be stronger than paper. Now to do it!

I can’t imagine going through the process of making that box. is there any reason why I couldn’t just get a sturdy beautiful box and then cut my file folders to fit the box? That would save me about 50 steps. just wondering😀

I just recently bought a Crop-A-Dile 2 and had no idea you could turn the eyelet cubes 🤯 I literally had it sitting on my desk when you started showing it… I’ll go look up that paper guide you have but shame on We R Memorykeepers for not including it seeing as how much it cost! I’m so glad you showed up in my feed. I love this box and I do like that you do not speed up any portions of your video. By you doing this, you are able to remind us of processes that are important so when we do the process we don’t make some of the mistakes you did through your experiment process. Also, I was thinking how beautiful your box would look with some small antique drawer pulls in place of your leather strings. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. 😊
