Just like a GTR with two more cylinders. Especially the Gen 3 Coyote has very efficient heads and moves air well even on atmosphere alone so when you add positive pressure it just gets even better.

It all depends on how its made for the general public. For the general public a 5.0 V8 has all it takes to make easy WHP, sounds insane, and is cheap to buy and run Thats what Ford intends with the Coyote, with Toyota.. More unique more time spent on internals for accepting boost and that is why it can do that but far far less limited in no of units produced per year

I don’t see where he reeled in the 2nd run. The 240 was ahead and even pulling until 149-151 when it had a mechanical issue. By the time the 5.0 came around the 240 was off boost

Who runs a car up to 170mph? Did they set the race up for a certain speed? Seems it would be part of the racing agreement. I have never set a race up to go until my car hit terminal velocity. It would be a good way to increase your chances of a catastrophic accident. I’m thinking this is why 1/8 and 1/4 mile races were established. To minimize injury to the participants of these acceleration contests.

Look I agree with Frank the 2jz 240 won on the second race until the motor got hurt. The 6 cylinder 2jz is nothing to play with here now i will say these boosted fords are also losing to the n/a camaros like the twin turbo f150 they need to turn up the boost in order to win

Othman look you make a good point unfortunately it is a built motor and it lost to the 6 cylinder 2jz until he hurt his motor but he will be back faster again now i will say the sbe n/a camaros are beating the twin turbo f150s and they need to turn up the boost levels in order to have a chance next time. The sheIbys even with the mods are also struggling to do anything
all you need to do is upgrade fuel delivery on coyotes, pretty common to see them with 900+ wheel without opening the engine.it all depends on the tune. personally, i wouldn't go over 900 to wheel on stock internals but that's just me. a family friend has a gen3 coyote with paxton supercharger it has basic bolts and upgraded pump has 917 wheel... it's held up for over 2 years now, he drives it to work.
