Recently I've been to Napoleon's final resting place. I've always seen the games/movies about that era, but seeing the armory, uniforms, brass cannons and drums... This is really breathtaking, how much he changed the world we live in. Hearing each hour the bells ringing La Diane and La Grenadiere really fascinating.

Nice, some NTW3! Those "french red hussards" were the Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde Impériale actually, a pretty important unit as they were the bodyguards of Napoléon on campaign and battlefields. They featured also, in my opinion, some of the coolest french uniforms of that era. In fact, the green uniform that the Emperor is represented with in many paintings (because he weared it and liked it a lot) was the uniform of the officers of that Imperial Guard Chasseurs à Cheval regiment.

Pretty classic Marathon/Cannae double envelopment there on the hill, if not necessarily by design (but then Marathon wasn't either) - the center gets forced back but holds enough for friendlies to wrap around the now exhausted and disorganised enemy and collapse their flanks.

Coalition had a very messy and disorganized attack - apparently the YOLO strategy of attack. That totally allowed the French to recover and destroy the Coalition. This was a hard one to watch, lol... The UK on the left flank should've pressed the attack from the start and that would've had the Coalition envelop the French...

At this time the British didn't use Lancers, much later they took the French and others ideas as wall as body armour from the French they used captured armour which the UK life guards as well as the blues and royals .

See now this is an actual battle. I play Napoleon online every now and then and all it is is kids sitting back letting artillery do everything. There is no tactics in just surrounding your rockets and letting them take down the other player…
