In this video we travel to the Labrador Coast for an epic ice fishing/winter camping/snowmobile trip. The long trek didn't disappoint, as the sights and sounds around us were overwhelming to say the least. Come along with us and enjoy the journey.

Chuck by what an awesome time with your son and good friends. Some of the most beautiful senary I have ever seen. The country seems so peaceful lots of snow and ice. The best part of that video was the very end. Where the fish flips out of Andrew’s hands, smacks Chuck in the face and the both of them are laughing and having a blast. So nice to see son and father bonding. In these times Chuck you don’t see enough of these moments. Congrats to you both for the bond.

He is such a good hand in the woods. We didnt have time to film everything but we had quite the trouble getting dry wood. Literally climbing the sides of hills to cut trees. Eddy had no trouble doing that so I knew we were in good hands👍

Hi Chuck! Ken here from Nova Scotia. That was great fishing. Great trip with great friends. I’ve never seen snow and ice that deep. I remember 4 feet of snow but only around 2 feet of ice, that was the early 90s here. Sure used to love ice fishing. It’s what got me hooked on fishing for the season. Thank you for sharing your trip with us.

We were in Antigonish two years ago and you guys had a cold spell. We went out in the harbour on snowmobile and everyone was amazed at how much I’ve there was that spring. Times have changed for sure👍

I remember in the early 90s there being 2 feet of ice on the lake I grew up around. My dad and a few other guys dragged wood across the lake with farm tractors. That was the last spring I can remember enough ice to fish through for any length of time .

Beautiful looking fish chuck. I've never tried the salt water trout, from they say their just like Salmon. Lovely time of the year spring in the Bigland and a trip like this even more special. Good stuff bud 😁

Salt water trout are very rich. In fact you need to take extra care with them or they will get soft quickly. Like char. They are absolutely a treasure to eat👍

Hi Chuck, looks like an amazing trip you are on there, gotta love the Labrador for sure! Many great adventures started there and many more. We are lucky we don't have to go on dog team and face the wild north as our ancestors did eh? Now we have all the toys which make trips fun , not to forget Mother Nature can take you out anytime eh? I was down years ago on a caribou trip and doing some flying, put about 700 kms on an old Skandic in 5 or 6 days and came back home here on the island with lots of meat and that was all healthy fun. I have family in Wabush and Lab City, daughter with family, and brother in law with family who lived there for years. watching for next part!
